What a dead draw. Feel for Grimsby a bit, a very 'meh' game for a QF.
Shame for them not to get even one of the Manchester clubs as would be a bigger crowd.

FA are probably hoping for a Man U/City final although Brighton would give both a game on a good day.

As for Fleetwood - did much better than a lot of Championship sides have!

We had the same shit draw when we got into the QF's....Bloody WBA. They (and especially Ishmael Miller) battered us.
Probably just as well it wasnt anyone better!

Brighton’s reserves beat us 3-0 in the league cup, so can only imagine how good their first team are.

Grimsby fans will get to see more of their stars in person I’d imagine, like Danny Welbeck and Lewis Dunk.

Mind you, they did include Ferguson, Mitoma and Lamptey in their team...two of whom are now automatic starters in the Premier League.

And Lamptey is actually quite highly rated but been injured a lot.

Kind of sums Brighton up in a way though - ease players into the squad and then eventually they become fist team regulars.

I know a lot of our fans are very jealous of them.

Think the team we had in that round playing MK Dons are either injured, never seen again or left!

Oh no doubt about it we’re gonna get absolutely mullered if they are even remotely up for it but I honestly don’t care, just getting here is unbelievable for us and much as that crap expression ‘it’s their cup final’ is usually bullshit, for us on Wednesday night it really was, for me that is the greatest day in our history to get to the quarter finals by beating 5 teams from leagues above us as a 4th tier club is monumental, we got to 2 semis (1936 & 1939) but we were a top tier club back then so for me this tops it.
Whatever happens at Brighton no GTFC fan will ever forget what we achieved on Wednesday night.
