Nailed on loss here for several reasons

- we never ever win at Turf Moor
- Ginger Ninja hates us for turning underpaid Shackalls head
- we are in poor form
- we don't know who is the best 11

We better apply ourselves this time out, lose this and we truly have fucked ourselves for the autos.

I'd love a smash and grab 2-1 but I think it's going to get worse before it gets better.

3-1 Burnley.

I don't think we will even score Luke. We look devoid of ideas going forward in our pattern of play

It can't be rocket science to get that front 6 functioning properly. I appreciate there is a bit of imbalance but in Ince and Weimann you have two good wingers and in Martin and Bent two proven goalscorers. You then have countless choices in the middle of midfield. Go back to basics and don't overcomplicate it. It's what Burnley do to good effect.

Looks like it doesn't it. Weimann is a striker, very ineffective from outwide which begs the question of why we signed him in the first place when we play 443 with one central striker. Whilst Ince's good form last year was from the RW he has even said himself that he prefers a central position, more a no.10. I wasn't at the game but believe he played there vs Bristol last month and scored a hattrick. Despite them both not being in top form they would be the pair I'd go with on Monday.

The problem we've had is actually creating chances. The lack of creativity goes hand in hand with Chris Martin's poor form. I'd like to say he's been feeding on scraps but he's not even had that.

PC seemed to have found a winning formula with the balance towards being a rigid, defensively sound team who controlled games and in the large majority, won many where we executed it well. Now we're not doing that, add in a few big out of form players (Martin, Johnson) and the shit has hit the fan. We need to get back to where we were before, with a little more freedom for our forwards. Somewhere smack bang inbetween McClaren and Clement is what we require to go up IMO, not one or the other.

I think he's realised from his little tinker recently that we just need to go back to what we were doing with the 433. Carson coming back in will be a big boost, he's won us as many games as any other player this season.

Carson
Christie Keogh Shacks Warnock
Hendrick Thorne Butterfield
Ince Martin Weimann

We should ease Camara and Blackman into it. Russell and Johnson deserve a seat on the bench after recent performances so Weimann and Hendrick in for me. Can't understand why we dropped Butters last week, he's class. Still pesimistic after the last couple of performances though, I watched Burnley on Friday and they were very, very good.

We're on a really good run at the moment and usually look solid at home. I'm optimistic for a 2-0 victory.

100% agree with you Luke. Top post showing our problems.

Lack of creativity is massive. I'd also add our midfielders play far too deep because we are scared of giving the ball away. Thorne sits in front of the back 4 and Johnson and Butterfield at tunes sit next to him, leaving hardly any space between them. That's why possession stats are high - it's passing between the back 4, Thorne, Johnson and Butterfield.

I've got more chance of winning the lottery than Derby have getting anything from this game.

Nailed on loss.

I do wonder whether it's worth even watching - what day is undateables on?

Going to be hard watching this tonight. It's going to get much worse, before it gets better. :(

Have Derby boycotted this game? can't see or hear them.

Ridiculously priced tickets?

Andre Gray is a very good footballer. We all laughed but it looks money very well spent

Only 600 odd there so doubt we'll hear much from us. £40 tickets for United at home on Friday probably have a little to do with it.

Fair enough, must be bunched at the back of the stand.

I have never, ever, seen Richard Keogh look remotely assured or composed. Looks and plays like he's constantly nervous

You pick your games to watch M, he's been really good this year. Horrendous so far tonight.

Pleasing first half, more of the same hopefully. Burnley fans don't half fucking whinge, ruining my night.

Butterfield really went under the radar as a signing, but looks your best bit of business. Really impressive.

Just to clarify- Butterfield is not good enough for Man United. Just a good player.

By far our best I agree. Johnson took the limelight with the 6 million price tag and has been really disappointing. Butterfield is technically brilliant, fuck knows why we dropped him last week. He's undropable for me.

Tweets/jokes aside he might be good enough for Man United this year! We'll see Friday.

Big games on TV + Richard Keogh = nightmare.

2-1 Burnley. Not quite sure we deserve to be losing but two pieces of rotten defending have been punished.
