The Brewers picked up a huge victory at Wigan on Tuesday night to get a brillant start to the season for them back on track. Colchester meanwhile, sacked manager Tony Humes today after a dismal capitulation at home to Crewe on Tuesday Night. Burton struggle for goals but keep them out and well, you couldn't get any more of a polar opposite from Colchester who score plenty, but have the worst defence in the entire of the top 4 divisions.

Tight 1 0 to us. ( well we don't do 4 3 do we )
Hopefully not a galvanised squad following the sacking. It can go either way when a a manager goes.
I think we can sneak it as confidence is high again after beating Wigan away on Tuesday

Our away form has been awful this season, so not holding out too much hope. I just want us to be tighter at the back.

We've always got the ability to pop up with goals, so if we can keep it tight for the first half or the opening sixty minutes, I'm sure we will get chances to score at the other end. It would just be nice to not need three or four goals in order to take anything away with us!

I'd be happy with a point. Burton's home record is excellent this season.

No, it's not a new ground for me as I came and saw you beat Macclesfield 3-2 on a Wednesday night a few years ago when I was at university in Nottingham (very random game, admittedly!). I had still pencilled it down as one to go to though at the start of the season as I haven't seen us play there, liked the ground when I did go and it's not too bad a trip to get to.

I've become fed up of it recently though so decided last week I couldn't be bothered to go. Even more so after Tuesday night.

Stay at home and save your money. As you say you have been let down time and time again. Hope your team have the same mindset !

To be honest with you, when 95% of away games tend to be a good 6-8 hour round trip and you've been in the same division for the best part of two decades it becomes a chore to go to the same places all the time. The only ground I haven't been to in League One is Rochdale and I'm a bit gutted that I can't make that one this year due to work deadlines, that's the only one I was particularly looking forward to.

Makes sense. It is a very northern league this year and is tough on you millwall and the gills. Maybe next year will be different if a few southern Teams come up

We where gash in the first 20 mins. After that got in our stride. Still not fully convincing but better.
Amazed we scored more than one.
Colchester look in trouble unless they appoint well. Most of the problem is confidence or lack of it

I still think we've got more than enough to end up around 12-15th, but the appointment simply has to be right, and I don't think it will be. We desperately need somebody who can really sort out this defence as it's become farcical now.

We're in big trouble.

An odd game today but I will give the referee some credit for trying to let the game flow. Proper tackling like real football was allowed and I enjoyed that. Colchester were good going forward but defensively very inept, poorest centre backs I've seen in the football league.
We weren't great but didn't need to be, clinical enough in our finishing though.
Bring on the Lions toosdee evenin !
