First ever fixture between the clubs, looking forward to visiting a new stadium with a terrace.

Not expecting much here, first home game in this division and they'll all be right up for it.

Bury taking them to ET last night will have done them no favours, so hopefully that works out in our favour.

O'Donnell

Matthews, Flint, Magners, Bryan;

O'Neil,

O'Dowda, Tomlin,

Reid;

Kodjia, Abraham.
Three points would be delightful going into a run of Norwich, Newcastle, Villa and potentially Chelsea as well, but that'd be a tad optimistic.

1-1, Bryan with ours.

7,289 with 1,546 away fans.

I think we'd get overran with that formation, too attacking. 7289 is optimistic, their ground doesn't hold 7k!

It's quite embarrassing that we haven't sold out for this.

Good point, I keep forgetting they haven't added in the temporary seats.

Have we not? People on OTIB were saying there were no tickets available last week. I'll ring the club in a minute and find out, if not that's fucking shameful.

Also, we played that formation against Wigan when Reid and Abraham came on, and we caused havoc. We'll see.

I went on the site earlier and could still buy tickets on the terrace.

It's a bit different using that formation during a match at home where we are in the ascendancy though, play that from the start away from home and we'll get picked apart.

Bizarrely (no disrespect to Burton) this is possibly the game I've most looked forward to, first one I looked for on the fixture list.
Really disappointing we haven't sold out yet, but at the same time only 70 seats left and they could go tomorrow.
predict a 1-2 win for us, Tammy and Kodjia scoring

The bury game won't make much difference - as we rotated the squad so should be ok.
Tough game, but I fancy us to nick it 2-1.
But at our current rate of scoring and conceding it could be 6-6.

I'm going up for this one with 3 others. Really looking forward to standing on a terrace again.. It's been a while! And it will be a pleasure sharing Burton's first ever Championship home match. You guys must still be rubbing your eyes in disbelief that you are here!

I don't think that hoping for 3 points is too optimistic at all, I think It's very doable. Burton are still finding their feet at this level and their defense has looked very suspect so far. (six goals conceded in 2 games). Another 2-1 win for us is my prediction but a draw wouldn't be a bad result.

Would like to think we could take 3 points here but as others have said first home game and all...

O'Donnell
Matthews Flint Hordur Bryan
Reid Pack O'Neill
Tomlin
Abraham Kodjia
2-1 City, Abraham and Kodjia to score.

I like that team a lot, but it would be very harsh to drop O'Dowda after last Saturday. Came off with a knock though, so if he's not fit I'd love to see us go for that.

That's why I left him out, plus try and keep it tight away, maybe even Golbourne over Bryan for that reason. Can always introduce Bryan to try and be more expansive.

Perhaps a bit overly attacking, but Burton have gone up the leagues with a tight defense, but conceded 6 in the last 2.

We're gonna be top of the league after this one, if that means a 0-4 away win then so be it.

Admiring the optimism here from city fans.
If we have any chance of staying up it has to be our home form. So I expect it to be nick and tuck tomorrow.
Can't see 4 0 pal - but you never know.
A draw maybe the outcome in this.

I think you will have a decent home record this year, but I'm confident we can edge this game

Agreed, and good luck to you in that. We should be beating you on paper, but the circumstances are very different tomorrow. A draw wouldn't be such a bad result, 4 points from the first 2.

2-2 draw. 5597 attendance. If the Bristol City supporters are disappointed they'll only just sell their allocation for this one, consider the fact we won't even have been able to sell 3000 general sale tickets for one of the biggest days in the club's history.

Anyway...really looking forward to the game.

To be fair to your fans we are hardly a big draw, and you got 22 more home games to enjoy- more if you stay up- some against much bigger clubs.

Fucking incredible, bodies everywhere.

Didn't deserve that at all, didn't get going once, Burton probably deserved the three points but we did what teams were doing to us last season and taught them a lesson in finishing. Tammy Abraham is fucking unbelievable, he's ruthless. Mark Little got taken the piss out of all game, Dyer was running rings around him.

That'll be all. Up the City.
