It's a cliche but the first goal will be massive tomorrow night. If Wednesday score it then we'll have to come out and try and break down their brick wall defence, something I don't fancy us being very successful at doing. If we get it then I'd like to think we'll have learned from the mistakes of the first two games, go back to our old selves and remember how to defend a lead, a trait that got us here in the first place.

I assume Forestieri will be back in Wednesday's line up come tomorrow night? Wednesday should have enough to beat us anyway but I'd fancy our chances a bit more if he's not playing. Fairly confident we'll make changes in personnel and there's been a few calls for us to ditch 3-5-2 and go back to our old 4-2-3-1 but a few players have come out and said they're comfortable with playing the way we have been. So am I but I think we just need to a bit more composure and awareness after Saturday's two defensive catastrophes.

1-0 to us if we score first, 3-0 Wednesday if they do. We got over 5k on the gate last season in L1 for a midweek against the red half of Sheffield so it would be absolutely bizarre if we weren't touching 6k tomorrow night but then again, the Burton public etc...

1-1 draw for me for our first point.

But I can't predict shit, I said we would win on Saturday 2 -1 so what do I know.

Excuse my lucid predictions..just drove 9 hours to get to Inverness. I'm high on Tarmac.

This is the kind of away game we dropped a bollock in last season losing at the likes of Charlton and MK Dons, it's far from a must win for us and a point wouldn't be a disaster but promotion sides should be winning these games. Not underestimating Burton as the op said if they get the first goal it could become a really frustrating night for us, we should have enough attacking threat to get on the scoresheet here though. Not sure if Forestieri will start tonight but expect him to be in the squad after his apology and the chairman's statement this morning. Think we might see a few changes to the side that picked up a point at Norwich on Saturday.

No Tom Lees tonight, did get a kick at Norwich so hope this is only precautionary, Semedo comes in at centre back. Not much change otherwise just Joao out and Fletcher in alongside Hooper, could be a very potent partnership.

Thoroughly disappointing performance and result tonight, congratulations to Burton on their first ever win at this level. As for us tonight we haven't been helped by injuries at the back which is typical as it's an area we still need to recruit especially centre back, so it's instantly weakened us. Doesn't seem like we've learnt from last season losing away to the sides you'd expect to be in the bottom 3, but we need to learn fast. Hopefully have Lees back alongside Hutchinson on Saturday, could really do with getting 3 points against Leeds now.

Well - I didnt expect that. Delighted to get off the mark after Saturday's heartache. Have to pinch myself that we played Wednesday in the first place - such a mismatch but on the pitch we raised our game.

Blackburn on Saturday, that should give us some confidence to go into that game, as they are seemingly short of it.

Superb night at the Pirelli. Did not expect that result at all. Obviously Wednesday not having Lees or Forestieri in their line up gave us a bit of an advantage but I really don't want to take anything away from how hard we worked to get the result.

As predicted, really close game. Apart for the first 10 minutes which was one way traffic our way the game followed the pattern of plenty of Wednesday possession with us pressing and trying to counter. It worked well for the most part, the first 15 minutes of the second half aside. We had plenty of shots, one resulting in Westwood pulling off an unbelievable save. The referee didn't seem to want to give us anything and apparently Wednesday's penalty was for shirt pulling. Bit harsh but then again I was at the other end of the ground so my view of it was non existent.

Wednesday look a really good side and if the aforementioned players had been in the team it may have been a different story, but fucking hell we earned that tonight. Thrilled to get off the mark and I really fancy us to get the three points at Blackburn on Saturday now.

Only just realised when I saw the goals back on Sky that Forestieri came on at half time. In my defence I was still downstairs in the bar when the second half started and didn't know he'd come on

My piss is itching, that was the best Burton Albion performance I've ever seen. No backs to the wall ,no flucky goals just win the game by being better than your opposition, and that's the truth.
But of coarse little Burton can't play Wednesday off the park can they?
Well they fuckin well did ,not by kicking fuck out of them, but by playing a pressing game etc that Wednesday couldn't match because they wanted to play nice sideways football that gives good stats but bores the pants off you.
Well fuck your pretty fuck all football give me the way Burton played tonight anyday and if they get swamped every week from now I'll not give a fuck because that was ten out of ten for entertainment and that's enough for me

Congratulations, that has to be the greatest result in Burton Albion's history to date. Only the 0-0 against Man Utd can come close to that. Oh, and the 1-0 win at the DW last season of course. ;)
