That's a Hell of a drop Brother, will they put you in the top division of the league or the bottom one, as they did with The Shaymen and Chester in the Unibond League?

Hope it comes off for Bury. It's a hell of a drop from Div 1 but is a great opportunity to start the club off with a successful season and something to build from.

They should talk to FC United and ground share there as Bury shared Gigg Lane with FC United in their early years.

I know the Phoenix Club are its own entity, but what's happened with that Benwell bloke who was trying to buy the current club and Gigg Lane before?

primary ground with 2 or 3 alternates should games clash
Ramshackle ground (I can't see them fitting you all safely in!) with a fearsome slope on the pitch. We blew a 2 goal lead there to fall to our second of only 2 defeats that season, in 2010. :ds:

Benwell was the dreamer (in league with forever bury) who eas trying to buy ground and get fans to pay for it, gone very quite.
Fans tried to force a EGM of Forever Bury, they wriggled out on a technicality. Another attempt is underway, the old guard should then be voted out and a merger with FB and the phoenix group be the outcome.

Allegedly he wanted to "buy" Alfreton, and move them to Gigg Lane, and steal their position in the NLN never going to happen

He just been stringing everyone along since last summer.

Bury cheated their way to promotion last season (the fans knew and it obviously wasn’t their fault) but they need to start in the north-west counties like everyone else.

He's desperate to paint himself as the knight in shining armour by doing something that puts him in a better light (in his head).

I think the vast majority of their fans would rather watch NWCL football next season than watch a team put out by Steve Dale.

Except for all his faults, Pete Winkleman is a bright guy who can run a football club and has run successful businesses.

Steve Dale is a chancer.
It was Benwell (the bloke negotiating to buy from Dale) proposing this, not Dale himself. (Although Benwell sounds equally dodgy.)

Because BFC are still trading, still members of the FA and have applied for league entry next season the FA are now unlikely to recognise Bury AFC as a Phoenix and as such the new team is likely to have its provisional acceptance into NWCL overturned and will likely be placed into Manchester League Div1 for next season (if there is a season 20/21)

Source? The application from Dale is meaningless desperation, the NL would be overturning years of precedent if they accepted Bury into the NL North. I can't see the NPL being receptive either.

Source for which bit?
Steve Dale himself for BFC league application.
FA sources via Bacup Borough for the effects of said application on Bury AFC

The latter. Seems like it's just the Bacup chairman's interpretation of FA rules and there's a lot of assumptions and extrapolation on his part. He also wants Bury FC to be allowed into the NL North for sentimental reasons it seems. I find it hard to trust him as a reliable source. If he is right the FA are a disgrace.

The NL would have to throw all their past decisions on financial regulations out of the water if they are to allow Bury FC back in.
