Bury v Stevenage, Tuesday 16th September 2014 - 7.45pm Kick off.

Tonight see's promotion favourites Bury take on Stevenage at The JD Stadium, Bury lie in 3rd place now after a devasting performance against Carlisle on Saturday which saw them come away from Brunton Park with a 3-0 win, first win against Carlisle in 14 games. Stevenage sit mid table in 12th position and probably will be dissapointed with there start to the season as they were in League One last season and would have expected a better start to the season.

Bur are now unbeaten in there last 6 games and will look to continue that impressive run tonight, Stevenage came out 1-0 winners in there last game against Shrewsbury, which sees them with 3 wins, 3 losses and 1 draw. Recent history cannot seperate these two teams, Stevenage being a farily new league side, only 6 games have ever been played, with 2 wins, 2 draws and 2 defeats for both sides.

Tonight's team news:
Bury's Daniel Nardiello (groin) and Clive Platt (calf) are both fit and will compete with Ryan Lowe and Danny Rose (5 goals in 6 games) for a place in David Flitcroft's starting line-up.

Keil O'Brien is out until October after knee surgery, while winger Joe Thompson may be given a rest for a back injury.

Ryan Lowe hopes he has done enough to force his way back into the Bury starting line-up for tonight’s visit of Stevenage.

The Shakers striker became the second-fastest player in the club’s post-war era to reach 50 league goals after coming off the bench to help seal a comfortable 3-0 victory at managerless Carlisle on Saturday.
Lowe, hit the landmark in only his 97th game for the club – four more than record holder Mark Carter. But the 35-year-old front man had to wait more than three years since his last league goal in Bury colours, scored at the end of his first spell before a move to Sheffield Wednesday in August, 2011.

It’s been a long time coming, hasn’t it?” said the Liverpudlian, who was dropped from the starting line-up after failing to net in his first six league matches since re-signing for Bury in the summer.

“I’m obviously proud to have scored 50 league goals for Bury.
“It was a tough few days for me not to be picked in the team, but you have to get on with it.

“The gaffer makes the decisions and I’m man enough to take them on the chin and when your chance comes along you have got to show what you are capable of.”
Lowe was part of an experienced bench that also included fellow front men Clive Platt and Danny Nardiello – who were both back after spells out with injury.

Stevenage midfielder Andy Bond will be unavailable again as he serves a three-match suspension, meanwhile, striker Calvin Zola is recovering from injury and could be in line for an place on the bench.

I have attempted to pick Bury's starting XI all season without success, too many good players to pick, a great squad of players, Nicky Adams was left out against Wycombe and came back against Carlisle with a 10 out 10 performance, so this is my pick but manager David Flitcroft no doubt knows much better than me.

Tonight should see Bury with another victory and I am going to predict a 3-0 win for The Shakers, if they play like they did on Saturday then I cannot see any other result. Good luck to the boys tonight and bring home the 3 points.
