I'm surprised it's an 18 month contract and a little disappointed it is that way but I suppose it was always a long shot to get him back for a short-term deal.

I'm a lot more confident we'll stay up with him at the helm but I wanted some fresh blood long-term.

Exactly what we need short-term. I'd rather six months, but 18 allows him to fully stabilise the club and hopefully get the characters in that we need/build that siege mentality and restore the ethos of the club and the relationship between fans and players/staff.

After Still I'd absolutely love someone like Danny Cowley I have to say. But as it stands, I'm chuffed he's back.

Agreed. Think Cowley is ready and waiting to be a sucess in the FL. The job he has done with Concord and now Braintree is nothing short of remarkable
