Listen up and listen good

In the next Parliament, we’ll do the same – with our five commitments to reward hard work:
  • Cut income tax for 30 million people and take everyone who earns less than £12,500 out of income tax altogether
  • Back aspiration by raising the 40p tax threshold – so that no one earning less than £50,000 pays it
  • Deliver tax free childcare and a tax cut for married couples – to help families get on in life
  • Keep taxes low for working people and their families by continuing to cut the deficit and live within our means
  • Ensure that those who can afford it pay the most in tax, and continue to crack down on tax avoidance and tax evasion

The guy who has no real experience controlling an economy? The only reason the SNP do well is because they have no real economic accountability. If they don't have the money for something they just whine more about Westminster. Let's not forget that this is the clown who thought he could lower corporate tax and still raise public spending.

He's either A) lying, B) telling the truth and will raid the sick and needy to cover the surplus or C) lying and will still raid the sick and needy anyway.,

I vote C. I'm fed up of this 'hard working families' bollocks. Designed simply to try and get the working class to vote for them.

"Hard-working families".

Just fuck right off.
This phrase just makes my blood boil.
I doubt that Cameron will be able to fulfil all of these policy pledges. And if he does, so what? If it's at the cost of our societal cohesion, if it increase inequalities and leads to a lowering of the quality of life for everyone then it's totally not worth it.

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
As long as the rich are getting richer, while unemployment is lowered through people not earning money in zero hour contracts, he'll be happy enough.

This is what I hate about politics, especially with elections on the horizon. Anyone can lie and cheat their way to votes, knowing that the policies are unworkable. The press all have their own agendas and push the positives while glossing over the negatives and no one can really know what's true or not. There'll be a small turnout and someone will get on with breaking their own promises.

I'd love to see an independent body who vet all broadcasts and publications with a 'BULLSHIT' button. But I suspect it would disintegrate through overuse halfway through the first round of debates.
