Cardiff take on Derby County this Saturday at the Cardiff City stadium, in a match that will provide Slade's men with their toughest home game so far. The Bluebirds currently sit 13th in the league table, while Derby are second place, with a win taking them level on points with Bournemouth at the summit of the table. The last time these teams met, City drew 2-2 at the iPro arena, however after being 2-0 up towards the end of the game, the away side would have been disappointed to come away without all three points.
Cardiff will be without Ben Turner for the rest of the season after suffering an ankle problem against Reading in the cup. However the Bluebirds will be boosted by the return of Bruno Ecule-Manga after Gabon were knocked out of the AFCON. New signing Stuart O'Keefe is also available for selection after signing from Crystal Palace this week. Derby's Johnny Russell is out for over a month after picking up a hamstring injury in a recent game. However they will have everybody else available for selection, and will be desperate to claim all three points for the visit to South Wales.
City tend to play the same team most games now, so my predicted Cardiff line up is-
33- Moore
03- Fabio
04- Malone
05- Ecule Manga
36- Morrison
07- Whittingham
11- Noone
17- Gunnarsson
18- Adeyemi
40- Harris
09- Jones
My predicted score line for this game is Cariff 1-3 Derby. I never bet against my own team I really can't see City being able to overcome the top of the table side.
