Cardiff City will take on Reading in the 4th round of the FA Cup. Cardiff who beat Colchester 3-1 in the previous round, have only won 1 of their last 7 matches in the league, and will be hoping to change their fortunes when the Royals come to town. Reading beat Huddersfield 1-0 in the 3rd round fixture, Nick Blackman grabbing the only goal. The last time these sides met in the cup, Cardiff picked up a 2-0 victory back in 2009.
Cardiff look set to be without Scott Malone again through an ankle problem that also kept him out of the Norwich game. They will also be without David Marshall though injury and also looks likely to be without John Brayford who looks set to join Sheffield United very soon. Reading will only be without Anton Ferdinand with a calf problem and Hope Akpan who's only recently rejoined training recently after a shoulder discomfort.
Since this game is a cup fixture, I can see the Bluebirds fielding a weaker starting XI, however after recent performances, it can't be much worse than the normal XI. Anyway, my predicted starting team is-
33- Moore
06- Turner
12- John
16- Connolly
36- Morrison
03- Fabio
07- Whittingham
17- Gunnarson
21- Ralls
40- Harris
29- Revell

And finally, my predicted scoreline for this fixture is Cardiff 1-0 Reading. The Bluebirds form hasn't been something to brag about recently, but I believe that with the 'Back in Blue' atmosphere will boost the home side on to victory.

For once i am going to be optimistic.I reckon we will get a draw.We will probably make a couple of changes but nothing more.Chalaboah may well make his debut.Don't like playing sides in the same division in the cup but at least it will only take me 2 hours to drive there and it was only a tenner.

I was honestly being optimistic about getting even a goal! The football we play under Slade is diabolical, and if Chabolah is as good as he's cracked up to be, you should have no worries breaking us down! Also, only a tenner? I had to pay more than that for a youth ticket!

If we create as many chance as we did last weekend at Fulham then we might win but more than likely we will create a grand total of 3.The back 4 has looked a little more solid since Steve Clarke has come in.Le fondre will no doubt find his shooting boots tomorrow.Probably has a point to prove to the Reading fans. Some gave him a load of stick in the league game a couple of months ago and he wrote on twitter saying how he deserved more respect than that.Which to be fair he does.According to the local paper he is off to Bolton.

It was a tenner for Reading season ticket holders if they bought them in advance.12 pounds for non season ticket holders in advance.

Ahh right! can't see Le Fondre playing to be honest, probably start with Revell up top and Jones coming on towards the end of the match. Our back four hasn't improved much from the Solskjaer reign. In fact we seem worse as we don't even look like scoring anymore. The only positive coming out of the club recently is the change back to blue. However I can't see that positive atmosphere sticking around for much longer when people realize that the club is in reverse!

Deservedly through & decent 2nd half performance. Chalobah lost Jones for their goal from the corner but was pretty harsh on us to go in 1-0 down at HT.

We look so much stronger and organised under Clarke and actually have a bit of fight. The last 2 performances have been very good and going forward we are creating chances.Need to take that into Tuesday nights game at Millwall.
