9 games to go...

My first look at the new Cardiff ground, at least their shirts will match the seats now...!

We've played Cardiff twice already this season, early in the league cup at theirs when they were really struggling and we won 3-0. Then the home league game which was a frantic 5-2 I think. So certainly could be more goals to come.

Cardiff seem to have improved as the season has gone on, all set for mid table comfort for now and can test ahead of next season.

We've hit a rich vain of form and goals, but the opposition must be taken into account. Both Fulham and Blackpool put up no resistance. Cardiff likely to be stronger and stiffer you'd imagine, before the massive game with Boro coming.

Pitman bagging 5 goals in 2 must surely continue starting, relegating Kermorgant to the bench.

Harry Arter will return in midfield thankfully.

I agree with the Cardiff fans' views of how the game will turn out. If they'd all just shut the fuck up and let someone else speak.

Became ridiculous by the end. Only the ref will know why we didn't win, what was wrong with Wilson's goal? And the TWO penalty shouts that looked good?

One of those nights. Watford and Boro take the initiative. Lots to play for.

My understanding of the law is that the ref was right with Wilsons goal as he stopped the goalkeeper releasing the ball.

Someone may be able to prove me wrong though.

Massive game on Saturday, Boro are in the driving seat for the run in, would still take a draw right now though with our respective run ins.

Really pleased with how we played overall. Wasn't quite a 90 minute performance but it's unlikely that you'll dominate for a whole game.

But we couldn't get the second goal. And then we couldn't defend a simple set piece.

So putting aside the refs calls regarding the pens and 'goal', because that happens, we are still the master of our own downfall at times.

Although the ref was maddening! :p

There's nothing remotely wrong with that goal.

Given that he doesn't move, I don't see why that's been disallowed.

On the topic of 'the goal', retired referee Mark Halsey was asked to give an opinion (not sure by whom, our local paper perhaps) and took to that twitter thing to criticise the decision, saying that the goal should have stood. A bit pointless for what it's worth, but at least shows we're not going mad.

Got to move on now and think about Saturday. Between those northern lot and their thick accents, and our folks who forget to put their teeth in that morning, any pre match conversation could be hard work.

To be fair mate it's about time you had a decision go against you. Most other teams in the league have been on the end of questionable decisions from the officials vs Bournemouth.

Feel that's rather an exaggeration Mark. I could reel off a list of memorable and questionable decisions that have gone against us like some sad obsessed looney (so I won't). Indeed decisions involving several of our nearest lot at this end of the table. And I'm sure they could do likewise as well.

It's been really noticeable since coming up to this division how much the refs effect games and how much scrutiny there is on them.

I'd guess that's down to this league being basically a division of about 22 teams who are pretty much as all good as each other (and then Millwall and Blackpool!) using this season as example. So the finest of margins separate things. I don't ever remember a season with so many refereeing controversies in one season in league one or two.

The refs aren't going to be any worse, if anything better, so it has to be down to the teams and the speed of play.

Trouble is everything gets magnified the higher up you go.

I doubt we'll get much going our way if we go up!
