What is the point?!? We could possibly break records (again) this season.

At least until recently we looked quite solid defensively. We don't even do that properly now. We create almost nothing, and I'll be amazed if we get in to double figures for goals scored this season.

Cardiff 2-0 Derby

Nah, you'll be alright against these lot. You're both shite but I imagine you'll *predominantly* beat the bottom 6 whilst under Pearson, if you subtract Blackburn.

This is still Derby County we're talking about; managed by the same bloke who put together most of the side that won the English top flight last season, and the squad rammed with talented, expensive players such as Will Hughes, £8.5m Matej Vydra, £6m Bradley Johnson, Tom Ince etc...

0-2 Derby, time to get going.

Imagine if Derby fans went through some proper shit, not just a dodgy start, Samaritans would be on speed dial.

I think NP is taking a bit too much credit for that Leicester team, massively underperformed with those players. Then you so kindly set up my next comment where I'm going to say he isn't utilising his sqaud anywhere near it's potential, shoe horning players into formations they don't suit. Will Hughes in a 442, Matej Vydra trying to bring down balls three feet above his head... Johnson and Ince? They'd have to play to show what talent they have! 10 mill sat on the bench where it's about as useful as a chocolate fire guard.

I don't want him sacked but he's starting to piss me off. Whilst I don't think our squad is anywhere near as good as it says on paper, playing players out of position and in formations that doesn't get the best out of them is madness. If he was going to employ 442 I don't understand why he didn't flog half our squad and bring in some players. Left it way too late.

Imagine if Derby fans went through some proper shit, not just a dodgy start, Samaritans would be on speed dial.

The meltdown would be exactly the same for anyone I'd imagine.

That's not a great example... double the wins we've had, nearly scored three times as many goals, above us in the table... count yourselves lucky.

I do think our academy is fairly decent and we have some okay prospects coming through. However, the noises coming out about tomorrow's game concerns me. It seems like Pearson is keen to prove a point and ring the changes with some of the kids starting, such as Lowe, Elsnik and Hanson.

We'll see, but I don't see any drastic changes.

0-1 Cardiff.

I'm going to go for three goals in row with a 2-1 loss.

As stated above, I think it's a risky business throwing the kids in, not sure the circumstances are well enough to go make 2/3 changes with youth players. Unfortunately it's not going to give anybody a kick up the arse either, we've made our own bed with poor recruitment over the last few years and the dropped players will be just as happy collecting their wage whether they start or not.

Waiting for this team to turn up this year, surprise me, please.

Probably the best team/formation we've put out this season IMO.

Whether it makes any difference or not, we'll see.

I'm definitely more hopeful with 4-3-3 and that selection.

Full time. Awesome confidence building game that.

I love Chris Powell, so hope we give him chance to claim the job.

We've had more shots on target in this game than any other in the season, which is no surprise considering we scored more goals than we have all season. Max Lowe has been lauded for his performances on his full league debut.

All in all, it's been a great night. A breathe of fresh air considering the huge pile of .... we've been served up so far this season.

Onwards and hopefully upwards!

Couldn't have asked for a better 90 minutes really. Players performing like we know they can, goals being scored and a clean sheet. Nick Blackman getting off the mark is huge too, will hopefully kick him on.

Chris Powell post match interview was very, very good. The guys a class act.

Don't get your hopes up too much, it is only us you beat after all!
I want to say that's the worst we have played this season, but I'd be lying. At least we had a shot on target tonight. Trollope has to go, how he has managed to turn a top 8 team into this pile of wank beggars belief.

We needed the win regardless of opposition to be fair, something to build on.

I'd take a point at Reading at the weekend with a good performance going into the international break.
