Cardiff go into this match on the back of their first win in four matches against Sheffield Wednesday. Brighton can also be pleased with their performance on Saturday, drawing 0-0 with Nottingham Forest. The Bluebirds currently sit in 15th spot on the league table, two spots above the Seagulls who are in 17th spot with 9 points. The last time these two sides met Brighton picked up a 2-0 victory, they along with Peterborough were the only sides to beat the Bluebirds at home two seasons ago. However Cardiff are unbeaten in their last four visits to the Falmer stadium.
Cardiff will be without defender Ben Turner due to a long term ankle injury. Apart from this a full strength squad is available for Scott Young and Danny Gabbidon to choose from. One of these players is on loan midfielder Ravel Morrison, who could make his full debut after impressing from the bench on Saturday. Brighton however will have a weakened squad with Sam Baldock struggling with a calf problem. They will also be without Kemy Augstien, Solly March and Dale Stephens through injury, while Inigo Calderon is suspended.
For the last Cardiff game, I predicted 8/11 of starting team, so with a bit of luck, I will hopefully improve that score for tomorrow. My predicted line up is-
01- Marshall
02- Brayford
03- Fabio
05- Ecule Manga
36- Morrison
07- Whittingham
11- Noone
19- Pilkington
38- Morrison
20- Daehli
09- Jones
While on the topic of team line ups, my predicted Brighton starting XI is-
13- Stockdale
02- Bruno
03- Greer
04- Hughes
05- Dunk
08- Crofts
18- Forster-Caskey
20- McCourt
25- Lua Lua
07- Colunga
12- Mackail-Smith
My score prediction for this match is 1-0 to Cardiff, even though Cardiff are yet to win away from the Cardiff City stadium, I'm backing them to get all three points and move up in the league table.
