Cardiff team- Marshall, Peltier, Manga, Morrison, Malone, Noone, Whittingham, Gunnarsson, O'keefe, McAnely, Jones.
Brighton- Stockdale, Calderon, Greer, Dunk, Bennett, Ince, Kayal, Bruno, Forster-Caskey, Teixeira, Best.
The Bluebirds faced Brighton in what can only be described as snooze fest at best. The first half consisted of only two chances, one for each team while the rest of the half was filled with misplaced passes and poor set-pieces. Cardiff's only chance in the first 45 was a diving header from Sean Morrison, making the most of Whittingham's corner but just failing to turn the ball in. Likewise Brighton only managed one chance worth noting. Rohan Ince picking the ball up at the back post, beating two men before firing into a Cardiff shirt and denying a goal for the away side.
It was midway into the second half that the first shot on target was registered from at least 30 yards out, this lead to ironic cheers from the crowd. And is was to be the only cheering that either fans would be doing all game. Gunnarsson did have another chance to change that though, when he was left unmarked from a Whittingham corner, but failed to hit the target from all of six yards. The same thing then happened to Kenwyne Jones, but this time from open play. Craig Noone played a cross right onto Jones's head, but he also failed to hit the target from all of six yards. The game then moved into full time to another chorus of boos around the Cardiff City stadium.
This game leaves Cardiff in 16th spot, and only six points from the relegation zone, also 16 points from the play-off places. Brighton stayed in 21st place and are level with Millwall in 22nd, only their better goal difference keeping the Seagulls from the drop zone. Cardiff will face Blackburn next Tuesday, also at home and will be praying that they can change their fortunes and get a first win in seven games. Brighton face Sheffield Wednesday at home on Saturday after both teams being knocked out of the FA cup, a match they will feel they can definitely win.

I'm impressed that you managed to write three paragraphs about this meeting.

Might be easier to put this sort of thing in the match day section, and probably doesn't need 2 threads for it.
