Cardiff face Leeds on Saturday afternoon and will be hoping to earn their third consecutive home win under Russell Slade. City have picked up two wins and one defeat in Slade's reign, but the defeat to Millwall caused concern for the new boss, due to a poor reaction from the opening goal. Leeds haven't picked up a win since their 3-0 demolition over local rivals Huddersfield. The failure to win in their last six games led to manager Milanic being sacked after just over a month in charge. Instead Neil Redfearn will take his second spell in charge of Leeds this season, after leaving many people shocked by not taking full control from his last spell. The last time these sides met, Frazier Campbell scored on his debut in Elland Road, giving the Bluebirds a 1-0 victory.
Cardiff will be boosted by the return of defender Ben Turner who injured his ankle in a pre-season friendly with Yeovil Town. His return will give Slade a dilemma on weather Turner or Morrison should partner the impressive Bruno Ecule- Manga. Leeds will have forward Souleymane Doukara back for selection after being suspended for the defeat to Wolves. They must also decide weather to keep impressive Brazilian Adryan in central midfield, or to bring back powerhouse Randolph Austin into the side.
Cardiff's line up has been very consistent since Slade took charge, so my predicted line up for the Bluebirds is-
01- Marshall
02- Brayford
03- Fabio
05- Manga
06- Turner
07- Whittingham
11- Noone
17- Gunnarsson
19- Pilkington
10- Le Fondre
14- Macheda
And to take on the City side, my predicted Leeds line up is-
01- Silvestri
02- Byrum
03- Warnock
05- Bellusci
06- Pearce
04- Austin
07- Murphy
14- Bianchi
18- Tonge
10- Hunt
19- Morison
Taking everything into account, I think Cardiff will win this match 3-0. The Bluebirds have shown great form at home under Slade and with Leeds faulting at the moment, I feel City should be able to turn them over.
