Carlisle United host Newport County this Saturday as they bid to get Keith Curle's fifth win out of six games at Brunton Park since his tenure started. Carlisle's home form is good under Curle, however their away form is slightly different losing their last four. Newport won last time out at high flying Bury with Aaron O'Connor scoring a hat-trick but before the Bury game they hadn't won in four. Incredibly, these teams havn't played each other in the league since 1987/88 season in which Carlisle won both of the games. The overall record between these two teams is three wins a peace and four draws.

For Carlisle Mark Gillespie is still out with a groin injury, as well as Stephen Elliott with an Achilles problem. Troy Archibald-Henville and Brad Potts could both return to action this Saturday after their injuries. Joe Pigott has returned to parent club Charlton as well as 'keeper Joe Day returning to Peterborough for Newport, although Joe Day may be returning again at some point.

Carlisle will line up in a 4-4-2 formation with in-form Derek Asamoah, Kyle Dempsey, Connor Brown, Danny Grainger, Matty Robson and keeper Dan Hanford all expected to keep their places in the team after last weeks disappointing 4-2 defeat at Dagenham. Newport will most likely stick with their 3-5-2 formation and possibly the only change for them could be former Carlisle 'keeper Lenny Pidgeley returning between the sticks.

With Carlisle impressive home form under Curle i can see nothing other than a win for the Cumbrians this saturday.
