Apparently instead of Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool owners are interested in bringing in Carlo Ancelotti.

Tancredi Palmeri says he's been approached and isn't currently interested, which means we've never even thought about him and he's desperate to join us.

I dunno if this merits a thread of it's own, but I'd rather Klopp than Ancelotti as I'm unsure he'd be the right fit...

I would have liked Klopp as well but Ancelotti can't be worse than Rodgers!

From independent - "However, it seems that Fenway have been warned against hiring the German, presumably by someone with first-hand practice of working with him."

Yeah, I saw that the other day. From Simon Hughes too who is well sourced too (used to work for the club not long ago). I don't think Gordon & Ayre want a character who might not bow to their every whim tbh.

I still don't reckon there's any chance of it happening soon unless we're shambolic in the next set of games.

It'd be a shame if these Liverpool fans were wasting their time dressing like Klopp at Villa:

Odds don't suggest anything is imminent.

This is brilliant though, Brenda is on the verge.

I'd be amazed if Ancelotti went to Liverpool. In their current state I can't believe he'd want to take that mess on.

I would love to see Ancelotti take over when Rodgers is getting the boot.

You reckon a 3 time Champions league winner, a Ligue 1, Premier League and Serie A title winner, a bloke who has won Uefa Super cups, Fifa club world cups and several domestic trophies might have the edge on Rodgers then?

I think you might be right.

It'd be more of a story if we somehow weren't interested in Ancelotti. I don't think the interest on our part is what's gonna make or break this deal, to be honest.

I was surprised when I realised Ancelotti has only won 3 league titles as a manager, that's a poor record when you consider the clubs he's managed.

I agree, but it's to some extent compensated by the fact that it's three titles in three different leagues. I think one would react less if it wasn't for the very odd fact that he's won just as many champions league trophies.

If they do part ways with Rodgers, someone like Big Sam could steady the ship until they can find a long term solution...

You did, only about an hour after I posted it.

I'd concentrate more on getting out of Liverpools shadow rather than trying to hide your jealousy.

Everything

Just everything

I genuinely think you're a secret Liverpool fan posing as an Everton fan for some strange weird kicks.
