Get the impression Allen could just as easily put out the youth team as the first team. Even he has now decided the season is over if you believe his interview.

How much of this is his playing silly buggers is anyone's guess but I suspect he is probably genuine, meaning there will be at least 4 changes from our best eleven that beat Orient. No Akinde, Yiadom, Weston or Muggleton and I suspect several other changes, perhaps Stack in goal, Dembele on the subs bench to avoid risking injury. Personally I'm more than happy to see our young players get first team experience and I'm looking forward to this one regardless of the result.

quite funny. "Do you really want to start the interview like this?" "Yeah, why not, it's honest, we haven't bothered to train this week".

Unfortunately I detect a massive reverse psychology campaign at work, our lot will saunter up expecting you to be on the beach and then we get tonked in the same inimitable and classy style that mega-salaried journeymen and fellow shambling playoff stumblers L'orient managed last week.

An amusing video! Lot of that is surely mind games...
Contrary to most people, I have a lot of time for Martin Allen, though to be fair I might change my opinion if he ever managed us in the future (I know he's expressed interest in the past).

Some excellent points at the end about some of our moaning fanbase...I think we may win this to give us false hope of making 7th spot only for it to be dashed again on Tues night...

Another Wycombe fan on the forum taking us up to 3 posters. :bravo: We have 3 defenders out with injury Pierre,Jacobson and McCarthy plus Bloomfield broke his arm scoring against York last saturday so we've got yet another midfielder missing :ffs: A draw at best i reckon so play offs are out of our reach until next season, we haven't done bad considering where we were 2 seasons ago staying up only on goal difference. By the way welcome to the forum Simply Devine :2thumb:

Nice to a poster whose moniker references someone who was an absolute hero for us too!

Looks like Ainsworth will have to name himself as a sub today as we may only have 3 subs one of which is a keeper

Good to see Harry Taylor get a full game.
Close game, matched Wycombe and had some good chances.

We played alright to be honest. Wycombe didn't offer much - their number 6 in defence looked OK - apart from Hayes and Thomson moaning constantly. The blonde number 22 dived like a fairy a few times but other than that, not so many dirty antics like the last few times they've come to the Hive.

Shaun Batt though man... I've genuinely never wanted anyone to score more than him! I don't think he even managed to score in the warmup. Even Muggles could've gotten on the scoresheet!

I dream of the day we win 2-1 with goals from The Weapon Muggs and The Battering Ram
