I think this'll be a draw. Barnet would be a solid midtable side if they just picked up a few more points on the road. They're still one of the better teams I've seen at Brunton Park this season, and with their home record, I think we'll struggle next weekend.

Bristol Rovers will have played 3 games more than us after this weekend, so it'd be nice if they dropped some points soon!

RefWatch; Ref for Bees v Brizzle is Michael Bull, 46, from Chelmsford. Works as a Project Manager in the City. FL ref since 2012. Says reffing is the 'next best thing to playing'. Really Michael? I'd have said the next best thing would to be as high as a kite surrounded by dirty naked women, but then I'm not a wild and crazy Project Manager from Chelmsford. Reffed Bees once; 3-1 win v York (3Y) in Oct '15. Reffed Gas once; 3-1 home defeat by Fleetwood in '13 (3Y). Home win % is 66%. In 9 games this season he has given 22 Y & 1 R - average.

AnagramWatch; Michael Bull = Hull Lab Mice. I'll Bum A Lech.

Loanee keeper recalled by Man city and then loaned out to Bury :(

He's been pretty decent despite the shambles in front of him

But, reading between the lines, it may appear that Jamie Stephens is fit and available for selection. If that's the case then we're being strengthened rather than weakened.
If not...

Looking forward to playing our rivals for the league last year (not to be confused with a rivalry)

We are playing well at home would be great to see akinde do what he did to Bristol at the start of last season and bully them, no idea what bristol are like versus last season.

A decent attendance expected, rovers will travel well but hey if you can muster 7-8000. at home support you flipping well should.

2-1 to bees with Akinde grabbing a penalty to win.... With a beautiful light show from Barnet fans to follow

I can't see anything but an away win if we don't get a CB and winger in on loan tomorrow.

We've scored which now means we won't try to venture past the halfway line until you score two.

If you don't get the shots on target you don't score! Hoping for a better second half.

Bristol all fart and no poo!!

Akinde bullying rovers all over the pitch

In saying that I can see rovers scoring

2 smallest players winning the headers Gambin and Maclean

Yids off - backs to the wall time.

Apparently he won the ball too, which is brilliant

Not good, if we had a striker who could hit a barn door we might have got some kind of result today.

Trouble is it makes the next three games very important, where as we had a bit of leeway if we won today.

Jesus, sounds like we were all over Barnet in the 2nd half (Can't talk about the first half as GasPlayer wasn't working). Sounds like we could/should have had 4 goals if we could finish.

Seems to show that without a good striker, we can't do f*** all. Not being funny but with 3 strikers, a very good player in Lawrence on his debut and Barnet with 10 men and we still can't score? Thats just not acceptable. We need Gaffney back ASAP otherwise we'll very quickly drop out of the play offs

Would have been disappointed to have lost that 11 vs 11 so very frustrating, seem we've choked in the big derby atmosphere.

We seemed to miss chance after chance on the commentary, we needed a striker to partner Taylor previously so no suprise when Gaffney went back that we missed him.

Eight balls had to be recovered from the training pitches. Couple of good saves from stephens but for all rovers possession there was little threat

Normally when the board goes up with 5 additional minutes you fear the worst.

Bristols shooting was comedy I lost count of them smashing it out of the hive.

Bristol did all their own timewasting for us.
A lot of huff and puff no end product
