Sold 1300 for Norwich, expect that to go to about 1600, shame there's no trains back mind.

Leeds, whatever your opinion on the club, have the best away support in the FL, your Newcastle and Villas wouldn't be averaging their figures after 15 years of shit, we aren't too bad either.

I agree with that about leeds. One of your lot told me last night he couldn't get a ticket for Norwich same old same old.

Only got 1600 haven't you? We had 2k there last year rediculously packed at the back of the terrace though so probably been limited due to health and fucking safety

As of today we've now sold 35,000 SCs which is more than last seasons total. Only been a 10% reduction in adult prices too.

Suppose we'll see in 15 years if things don't pick up soon!

This is probably the most relevant thread and I can't be arsed to make a new one, but as a part of the system our club uses we have to pay a booking fee for tickets- £1 per ticket. There's been a fuss of this (rightly so) because until today the club hadn't made our fans aware of this extra charge- We knew about it from buying online and people being charged at the gate on Saturday, but online we were just given a price with no mention of a booking fee when they advertised tickets.

Bristol Sport made a statement saying they absorb over half the cost of using the system and that other clubs (I think they cited Derby and Brighton, but not 100% sure) charge fans more for the booking fee.

I'm just wondering whether any of the other clubs have hidden the booking fee and had backlash, whether it was only City that was underhand, and why a club would choose a system that sees them spending a big chunk of money per season. (15000 fans at 23 home games and a 1500 average away support would mean they are paying over £750,000 out of their own pocket as well as the £750,000 they take in from fans over the season).

Statement from the club today about changing the way the fee is charged (no longer hidden and not on all purchases)

Because we are now Chinese-owned, our ground now includes most of the West Midlands and into Staffordshire and Derbyshire. Our home attendance needs to be calculated including the attendance at Derby, Birmingham and Walsall.

I agree, they do have the best away support in the league although it's a myth that they sell out everywhere because there are a few games where they fail to sell out. Also they do not have the best away support in the country. I've always said Leeds have better away support than us and after all these years of shit they are still consistent.

Again, hate backing em, but how many clubs have a membership scheme, Leeds do, there's no general sale realistically.

they have 40k members on the away scheme which can apply for away tickets but I imagine thousands of them don't even go to away games. I've got nowt against Leeds and they do have a great away following but they ain't number 1 in England. They do have general sale on the day of the game where any unsold tickets go on sale to their supporters whether they have membership or not.

man Utd have the best away support for numbers and noise. United would sell out every away game in the lower leagues even if they had spent the last 15 years down there. Their support is much bigger than Leeds. You could also say Liverpool would be taking more away than Leeds if they could so there's two teams, then you have one or two other clubs which are on par with Leeds. To say Leeds have better away support than United is ridiculous, United would take more than the 800 Leeds fans that travelled to Cardiff for a midweek game and that's not me having a dig at Leeds but you just can't compare the two clubs. Even before the prem era when United were very average they still had the best support home and away.

Cardiff was a handful off a 1000 with nothing to play for (the first time for many years we had under a 1000 unless we had less than a thousand tickets) though the red lot definitely have bigger away support than us.

Without doubt.

Leeds' away support is right up there, but not on the same level as Utd and Liverpool.

Reckon you could add West Ham and Everton in above Leeds as well. Tottenham?

West Ham were in the championship not long back and got promoted while we were nowhere yet we still averaged 2-300 more than them.

Everton and Spurs yes but although West Ham have a great away following they are not as good as Leeds.
