Why do you have a massive hate of Wigan?

We don't hate them, we are in awe of them.

In all seriousness though, I think the reason we take the piss out of them is from the start of the season us, Charlton, Brentford and Wigan were all after a striker from France named Andy Delort. Wigan had a poster on here (well the old forum) who would go on about how this said striker only chose to go to Wigan because they were a much bigger club than the rest of us, and report other people's posts who disagreed with his statement. I think Herts and I just find it ironic that after 10 months, this Delort fella turned out shit, and Wigan ended up replacing him with our own reject Leon Clarke (whom we hoped Delort would replace)... They're also tinpot fuckers who deserve to fall to the northern premier league.

I think that's why anyway.

Fair enough haha Wigans in my family so I've got a soft spot for them. Must admit even I find it funny (and a little sad) how quickly they've declined.

So you have two of the shittest clubs to support in your blood... Explains a lot.

It's was very difficult to like WIgan when Dave Whealan was the owner and then when he got Malky Mackay they became unbearable, much better now those 2 hateful backward looking fools have gone.

I remember the "reason" given, that Wigan were the best club for him to develop at so obviously that's why he chose them. Had nothing to do with his agent agreeing a deal with us, then going to Wigan, and then coming back to us demanding more

We are coming to fill Wednesday's away end this year.. In the League cup.

Never been, What's it like? Many pub near the ground or do I have to spend the afternoon in the City centre?

You'll fill the middle section of the upper :) oh and the away end is a bit of a shithole IMHO.

No pubs near the ground so booze up town then get a tram to Leppings Lane.

I've used the same pub for Sheff Wed for years & years. Cross over Leppings lane and up a monster hill, you pass a pub on the right hand side, that's home fans only, carry on up the hill and you come to another pub also on the right at the top of the hill, about 15/20min walk from the ground but always full of away fans. We got filmed there last time by The Football League for some grass routes football nonsense or something, had all the kids outside singing and dancing and all sorts!!

Edit: I've just seen the date of those posts :D

What were the final figures for last seasons away numbers? Obviously dirty lids at the top and then a toss up between Boro and Wednesday for 2nd spot?

They brought 452 last time to ours......
I honestly salute you for being sad enough to remember that.

At £39 a ticket, I'd be more than happy if no-one turned up out of protest. May not do much, but anyone paying that price is being robbed in clear daylight.

Mate I remembered it from a post on our forum.

I've said before I honestly don't blame you boycotting, my club has ballsed up but as I've said elsewhere it's not because it's Bristol City I'm told it was set price for the first game regardless of opposition.

Best start the new season then....

We've sold over 2,600 for first game at Bolton. Now well into the additional and final 1,000 we've been allocated.
