Ipswich fans really laying into Norwich for giving them approx 2k tickets and charging £40. Rather amusing given they gave us circa 2,100 tickets in a bigger and much emptier stadium and charged £37/£43.

Now I agree that the pricing is ridiculous (no amount of moaning is going to change that while people are willing to pay though) but the hypocrisy is quite something.

Not really a surprise you gave us so few really!

What is frustrating is the way ipswich have prioritised the allocation. If someone has been to more than a certain amount (not been said how many) of away games (Season Ticket holder or not), they will receive a priority letter this week!! Ive personally been to 5 and fulham the 6th and have a season ticket, but because we weren't careful which customer number we used (as we have 3 season tickets) I will likely not get one

disagree with you there, paid £27 for liverpool, £23 for Rotherham and also this week £26 for replay with lverpool, within a week and half thats a fair few quid on football, not including travel, a pie and a pint

Are people actually moaning about it? I don't think Ipswich fans are in a position to moan about any other club's prices.

I'd pay £40 for it anyway, no travel costs so it's the cheapest game I could go to all season. Not that I've got any chance of getting a ticket.

Not bothered by people criticising the club about prices, I do that myself. It's things like "If the #ncfc scum weren't so tinpot with their little 'stadium', we could've had a decent-sized allocation #itfc" conveniently forgetting that we were given the same allocation with Town preferring to have 5k empty seats than giving us more.

it wasn't 3k at Fulham
Not officially, we had an away allocation of 2700-odd which sold out a few days before the game, the club had more tickets available (of which they sold over 3000 going by their twitter). But the extra 300+ tickets were for Fulham's "neutral" area so didn't get counted in our away allocation, despite being sold by Reading FC for Reading fans...

Adding on to that, I still can't believe Fulham have a neutral area.

And are you really nitpicking over 10% of an attendance figure?

I can only go on official figures as we sold 4k at Fulham and had a good chunk of the neutral end too but officially it is 4k.

Yes of course, fair enough as i'm sure any club that sells their allocation at Fulham will have some in the neutral area.

Doesn't excuse the fact that we had 3000 fans there though, who went to that game over say the Millwall game last night.

Still think 500 or so for a localish journey is pretty pap!

To be fair it's the lowest attendance at portman road for an East anglian derby in a long while! Plus a sell out for now is only 28k apparently due to restricted views!

It's no different from norwich fans last season saying we only talk about the past when this year I've seen norwich fans saying that you've been in the premiership more recent than us!

Think we can all agree prices for both clubs are far too high! but your lot are more willing than ours to pay it and it's no surprise with your recent rise

A single unitary authority for urban Dorset
After seeing 6000 of us at Villa, which was quite a sight, we've sold out Brentford in 36 hours of tickets going on sale.
Massive!!

1800 is not big

For a team that averages ~900, 1800 is big. 1000 more than we took there earlier in the season.

My whole point is that it played a factor in our poor attendance last night. If 1800 choose to go to either Cardiff Saturday 3pm FA Cup fifth round or Millwall Tuesday 8pm League game it seems the former was chosen.

I was quite surprised by the poor turnout. Usually the one game at Portman Road you'd bank on being a sell-out. It did make the Town fans going on about how the attendance would be bigger than what our "tinpot" stadium holds look stupid though. I try to stay out of attendance arguments because it's stupid but that did make me smile.

Yeah, don't get me wrong, I find both sets of fans can be as tedious as each other. Though I guess it probably applies to football fans in general. City fans harping on about attendances all the time, seriously... who gives a shit? Besides, what's the point in having 26k every game if all they do is moan and boo when they're not sat in silence? Then you have a lot of Town fans dining out on things that happened before they were even born. Neither group seems to be able to admit that they're similar sized clubs who are largely irrelevant to anyone outside of Norfolk/Suffolk. Sure Town have been the more successful but not enough to create any sort of gulf. Anyone believing that either club is significantly bigger than the other is just deluded.

Pretty much, and I think you could probably say the same about Norfolk and Suffolk on the whole.

Although didn't the old 'farm' Derby get labelled as one of the most fierce derbies in England not long ago though? :fl:

Got my priority ticket though so I'll be there :woo:

No. People ripping out the animal feed supply adverts from the matchday programme and shouting "cum bah!" at a seeing-eye dog doesn't constitute "fierce".

I think the fiercest has to be the Eastleigh - Brighton & Hove Albion "A27 Derby" rivalry. Vicious. All police leave gets cancelled months ahead and Vladimir Putin fucks the hell out of the Ukraine, just in case it escalates.

Think he's referring to the 'Football Rivalries Report 2008'. The actual report no longer exists (as far as I can see) but a quick google search reveals:
The survey said the top 10 biggest rivalries in our game were:
1) Albion and Wolves
2) Norwich City and Ipswich Town
3) Liverpool and Manchester United
4) Portsmouth and Southampton
5) Cardiff City and Swansea City
6) Aston Villa and Birmingham City
7) Sheff United and Sheff Wednesday
8) Bristol City and Bristol Rovers
9) Newcastle United and Sunderland
10) Brighton and Crystal Palace

Pretty sure everyone agreed at the time that this list was spot on...

You didn't think I was being serious did you? Like Munkiki said I had seen a report about football rivalries and ours was up high :dk:
