Hi All,
Although the fixture list isn't released until the 22nd June, I thought I'd get in here early as I'm on my jollies at the time and I don't want to miss out on all the fun.

Is there any particular games you're looking forward to more than others?
Any games you'd rather avoid early on?

I myself can't wait for Blackburn again, I've missed Ewood as an away day over the last few years. Similarly Leeds. I never got to go to Elland Road when they were in their pomp in the early 2000's and it's effectively going to be our 'local' derby next year!

I'd prefer to avoid one of the fellow relegated teams straight away and I can see us on a Friday night early away to Burton in the hope that we get beat.

Newcastle and Villa home and away. Our games with Barnsley should be tasty as well - if Lee Johnson is still here by the time it comes around, that is.

Burton Albion and Wigan are new grounds for us as well, so looking forward to them.

Would like Villa at home on the opening day preferably. Get a full house in early.

I'm just looking forward to all the home games, got my first season ticket for a couple of years and will be at all home games unless something incredibly important comes up. I'd quite like to go to Villa away and Burton away if money allows, the latter because (with no disrespect intended to the Brewers) I don't envisage this becoming a regular fixture.

On the other hand I want to get onto the 2017/18 season already, we've been promoted the season after I had a season ticket both times that I've had one before and this is definitely a certainty to continue, and not just a coincidence.

Went to Wigan a couple of times when they were up what with going to uni in Manchester at the time. There'll be a good few new grounds for myself as well as I only managed a handful during our last spell in the Championship. I think we could do with a home game first game just to calm a few nerves

Not looking forward to Newcastle Home and Away, won't like supporting a team against them.

Villa away will be fun. Of course all the games against QPR and Fulham.

Both nailed on for Tuesday nights then. It's gonna be embarrassing how many times villa and Newcastle are on TV. If Wolves were on 13 times this year those 2 could be 20+

Aslong as Forest H/A, Villa A, Burton A and Newcastle A aren't before September 1st I don't really care. I'd like to make those games so I'd appreciate it if the fixture gods could sort me out so we play them when I'm back in the UK.

Not one new ground for me this season, very disappointing (did Burton v Southend a few years ago).

Looking forward to trips to London for the crack, and all trips in and around Yorkshire are good days out.

Not looking forward any in Lancashire given nightmare experiences on the M6 over the last few seasons.

Not arsed about Villa, but Newcastle will be good if it's a 3pm Saturday game...,unlikely.

Wigan away on my birthday weekend would be nice.
Preston home early on in the season too; Burton away on a summer Saturday also a preference.

Every single game. The last couple of seasons have been a tinpot nightmare and I can't wait to see my club playing at a respectable level again.
Nice feeling isn't it?
Nothing against L1 but this is a cracking league to play in.

Yes but you don't actually go and see them unless it's at Wembley

Despite their best efforts in 2014, Scotland is still in the UK.

Obviously this is written as a Miler, and has no doubt no actual factual basis as to how good every ground is or how good every town is. I'm just a fan who goes to every game, and likes a Beer and a day out. So if you're in the negative column, don't take it heart!!

Looking forward too:
Forest - Always a decent day in Nottingham. Tbh, County away days are usually better, as you can get plonked in Hooters, have a nice drink, watch the early match, devour some wings and look at a few breasts. And you normally win. But I do like the County Ground. Good atmosphere, no love lost between us Yorkies and them, and quite a few decent boozers over the Bridge. And after the game we usually end up next to the Cricket Ground. Our records not great here though!

Bristol City - Always a good night out in Bristol. Unfortunately this year was on a Tuesday so we couldn't stay the night, but have done the weekend many a time. One of the better nights out in the UK for me. The regeneration of Ashton Gate looks fantastic, although last year during the process we didn't have the best of views tucked away in the Corner. Very vociferous Home crowd who shout and moan for every decision. But I like that. They back their team.

Ipswich - This is the game we have nominated for the last two years to do a pub crawl. We manage 7/8 pubs on the way to the Ground and have perfected the route. It means an early start from Rotherham, but its become a highlight. Lovely Town centre to booze in, then back into a busy Pub after the game with no trouble from the Home Support. I don't mind the away end, even if it does feel you are an afterthought.

Not the best:
Reading - What an horrendous away day. And not because I've seen us play here 6 times and not even score!! The ground is in the middle of nowhere. Any Pub you find is a long walk from the Ground. It's such a huge Stadium that it always seems empty and lacks atmosphere. Horrible drive from Rotherham, and we've been here on a Tuesday night the last 2 Seasons. Come on Computer Fixture, sort it out!

Wolves - The worst away end in the Football League. And I've been to 85 of the current 92 Clubs watching the Millers. The roof doesn't cover the stand, so when it rains you get soaked. The sun seems to set over the opposite side, so when it's sunny you cannot see the game. The rake of the stand is so shallow you can't see past the guy in front of you. No Football on TV in the Pub we usually frequent, and Wolves Fans do seem to have some sort of chip on their shoulder!

Brighton - Long, Long way for most. Once again, last year was a midweek game and I was knackered for work next day. Another Ground built in the middle of nowhere, although it's a wonderful Stadium. Just a trek from all the boozers. At least after the game you can go in the club on the side of the Ground. Can see these being extremely strong again, so picking much up will be difficult. Did have a decent night in Brighton about 10 years ago, maybe we'll have to make a weekend of it.

Top 3 games im looking forward to next season the most all away.

Newcastle: never been to the city itself nevermind the stadium so the one im looking forward to the most and will be a good following aswel.

Barnsley: 11 years since we last played Barnsley, local game, train station in town close to the stadium and a huge away end.

Burton: only away end with a terrace in the league, quick and easy to get to on train and cheap aswel.

Been to Villa Park twice already so its less appealing as Newcastle but love the stadium so it comes a close 4th. All the home games are enjoyable for me but the standouts are always Sheff Wed and Leeds but Newcastle and Villa home games look very appealing to me being 2 monster clubs.

Wigan is a class day out. Our trip up there in the play-offs in 2001 is still up there as one of my best trips ever. Haven't returned since, so I'll try heading up next season.

Burton and Villa will be tasty as well.

Newcastle and Villa home and away, Burton away, will be looking out for the dates for Barnsley, Rotherham and Leeds too. Ideally would like to avoid Brighton away on a Tuesday night.

Always look forward to Fulham away, probably my second favourite away day to do in the football league behind Blackpool. Looking forward to seeing Mr Coyle as well although the thought of losing to him turns my stomach.

I disagree. Not having a pop but I don't think you would sell 5800 tickets for our place on opening day, final day or boxing day. Same goes for us at your place.

Mainly due to the fact that when we played you Warnock was trying to stop a game of football happening. Having a player pretend to be injured for 7 minutes is only going to piss off a crowd

Cheers for the compliment although its a bit surprising to hear! I haven't heard our fans described as "vociferous" since the old east end was knocked down! The atmosphere has generally been piss poor since then.

I'm going to be living in Italy during next season so I hope to fly home for a few more games than I did last season being in China (grand total of zero!). Obviously hoping to catch the home and away games against Newcastle and Villa, particularly the former. The last time the Geordies came down in 2010, it was a fantastic day and their fans were excellent. Villa will be interesting for me as my uncle supports them. Burton away is another one I'm excited about and hope I can get to. Its a proper old brewery town with some good pubs.
