So who do you reckon should make the PFA XI?

From my point of view and looking at some of the players we've faced I'd go for Konstantopolous in goal, he and Boro have been solid defensively.

In fact
Konstantopolous (Boro)
Bruno (Brighton)
Ayala (Boro)
Keane (Burnley)
Pudil (SWFC)
D Johnson (PNE)
Bannan (SWFC)
Barton (Burnley)
Snodgrass (Hull)
Gray (Burnley)
Wells (Huddersfield)

Presuming we're doing a 4-4-2...

Konstantopolous

Bruno - Ayala - Shackell - Friend

Adomah - Judge - Bannan - Murphy

Gray - McCormack
Thought Judge was definitely worth a mention, been fantastic for Brentford this season and a few of their fans say they'd hate to think where they'd be without him.

Barron's come into his own in recent weeks but had a shocking start to the season, he was getting some pelters from Burnley fans. Biggest struggle was picking a left sided player - so I went for the best individual performance against us that I can remember, and Murphy absolutely tore young Zak Vyner to shreds at AG.

The front two picked itself, as much as Wells has had a cracking season McCormack's continued to fire down the bottom and like Brentford and Judge, without McCormack Fulham would be a hell of a lot worse off.

Judge has really gone off the boil over the past 10 or so games, mainly because the rest of the team is playing so horribly he just isn't able to do it by himself anymore. That might take him out of contention, but just because his first 30 odd games were so brilliant, he's definitely still worth a mention.

Just going off what I've seen / can remember, I'd go for this. Don't think it's as easy to pick out as it was last year, but there are still some very good performers out there.

Konstantopolous

Bruno - Ayala - Keane - Friend

Forestieri - Judge - Diame - Bannan

Gray - McCormack

George Friend is fantastic forgot about him sadly.....

I've gone for Wells cos like McCormack he's stepped up for a poor team.

Pick who you want boys but I'm telling you now the Championship has seen a better goalkeeper this year than Jordan Pickford.

Nah, he's struggled for the past couple of months, needs a prolonged rest. Gallagher has been our best midfielder, even though i'd prefer him to play out wide.

Greg Cunningham is our main shout for this team although I think it will probably go to George Friend at Boro.

Presume you missed out a 'Not'?

But yeah, probably the best keeper i've seen at Deepdale, should be starting ahead of that Mannone at Sunderland.

Him getting lobbed by McGugan at ours means I disagree. Plenty of good keepers at this level and to be honest he's not played since December in this league.

Only player we could really offer for this is Dominic Iorfa, although there have been better right backs this season than him.

Oh, and Bjorn Sigurdarson.

I'd put Button in the top 5 in the division, was phenomenal last year, pretty damn good this year, and we turned down a bid from Villa last summer for him (though that's not saying much these days...)

In terms of opposition keepers, Button and Lee Camp put in the two most memorable performances against us. I've always been impressed by Hull's keeper though so he would probably be my pick, especially when you look at how many he's conceded.

If it has to be 4-4-2..

McGregor (Hull)
Bruno (Brighton), Ayala (Boro), Dawson (Hull), Cunningham (PNE)
Pilkington (Cardiff), Kayal (Brighton), Butterfield (Derby), Judge (Brentford)
Gray (Burnley), McCormack (Fulham)
Notable mentions for: Bannan (Wednesday), Toral (Birmingham) & Barton (Burnley).

Based on what i've seen;
GK: Marshall.
RB: Bruno.
CB: Ayala.
CB: Keane.
LB: Friend.
RM: Forestieri.
CM: Diame.
CM: Judge
LM: Murphy.
ST: Gray.
ST: McCormack.

What about a worst XI? Or would that just be a Bolton XI?

Bolton's team with Frank Fielding in goal.

My TOTY:
Marshall
Bruno Shackell Manga Friend
Paterson Judge Kayal Gudmundsson
Forestieri McCormack

Just me, or has there not been a standout winger this season? (unless you count Judge there I guess). Don't think there's been a standout player either, but if I had to pick a Player of the Season it would probably be McCormack.

To see what the stats show, here's WhoScored's TOTY:
de Vries
Onuoha Duffy Davies Mee
Gallagher Norwood Barton Judge
Forestieri Vokes
(of course i'm only show this as it has a Reading player)

Bjorn Sigurdarson would top that list hands down. I'd like to know a striker with a longer goal drought than 2 years and 7 months.

Suprised by jack hunt getting a few mentions I'm not sure he's even the best right back at Wednesday, and I don't rate Palmer at all.

Konstantoplous
Bruno
Keane
Lees
Friend

Forrestieri
Judge
Diame
Butter field

Gray
Kodja

I know kodja looks like a strange one but he's always looked really good when I've watched him

Interesting you include Kodjia considering he looked completely lost at Hillsborough (although it didn't take him long after that to get up to speed).

He lost his spark a while back, possibly because he's not used to the heavy fixture congestion. (This is by some distance the most games he's played in a season with plenty still to go.) Think teams and managers sussed him out a bit as well, not to say he's done badly but not the same threat he was in the first 10/15 games, when I wouldn't have swapped him for anyone.

Aye I couldn't pick Kodjia cos he was like Bambi on ice at ours.

Plenty of good players at this level mind.

Not surprised to see Gallagher in there when it's based on stats, I honestly think he would get in most sides in this league, no problem.

(Midfield diamond..)

Trickier than I thought it'd be. Plenty of decent midfielders I've had to leave out like Clayton, Barton, Bannan, Norwood, Butterfield, Toral, D. Johnson..

Thought he was excellent at the Amex. Kodjia and Lookman (Charlton) the two stand out away team players so far this season. Boros centre backs too.

Nice to see a lot of people picking Bruno, although not sure if it's because they're not sure who to pick for right back! He's been fantastic this season, probably between him and Kayal for our player of the season.
