No win at The Den (old or new) before last Saturday...

No league win against Bolton before Tuesday night...

Never yet won at The Valley, will lightning strike three times?

Who knows. Despite a decent manager and some good players, Charlton seem to be a bit hit and miss this season. So we've got a chance.

Dale team should be similar to Tuesday, with Steve Davies probably coming in for the concussed Henderson. And as Matty Lund has four yellow cards, and is away on international duty anyway the week after, I don't expect him to hold back in the tackle...:-)

Big Calvin hasn't yet got a hattrick, so about time he did - Addicks 1 v 3 Dale!

Rate looking forward to the game. I'll be happy with a draw away to one of the fancied promotion teams but if we play as well as Tuesday there's no reason we can't nick a win.

I'm happier with a win. Charlton didn't look interested.

That needs to be sarcasm. They only had one attack which they scored from, generally a shit game.
Doing a fantastic job with the old sarcasm yourself... 13 shots for Dale, 9 for Charlton. But you're right we only had one attack :brill:.

Holmes was your best player by a mile, could understand the booing as he was subbed off. With the forward options Charlton have at their disposal I'm shocked you seem to have problems scoring. But we defended well today. We've played better in matches and lost but we deserved the win overall.

Holmes had just come back from injury on Tuesday night and played 90mins then, so no way could he have lasted the full 90 again today. Correct sub there and the "fans" who booed are clearly clueless and need to never set foot into the ground again.

Suppose you know more about what's going on than I do, still to say it was a boycott today there was 14k there. Obviously the football for a fiver helped today though.
