Oh good, league football is back.

This is another of our many remaining games against a side still harbouring play-off hopes.

No idea what side Riga will put out but what I do know is, the one he puts out will most likely lose.

3,000+ Brummies to roar their side to a 2-0 away win.

All who threw them on should have a live Grenade shoved up their arse.

Whatever mate.

Well, for the first time in god knows how long, we deserved that although it looked as if it wasn't to be at one stage after missing a handful of glorious chances to take the lead.

Finally showed the fight and desire our fans have been asking for for months. If we can play like that in our remaining 7 games, we have a minuscule chance of doing the unthinkable. Unfortunately, I can't see that happening and no doubt we'll do what we usually do after giving fans the slightest glimmer of hope and that's to go and get hammered at Ipswich on Tuesday.

Birmingham should be ashamed, imagine having the double done on you by us!

All I can say to the club and the likes of Lamby, you can shove your 'protests have a negative affect on the players' logic where the sun don't shine. Two major protests at the 'Boro game and again today, 6 points.

That's great. If you forget the 7 months in between.

I see nobody protested after the game. You're all getting scared now aren't you?

You always seem to win when there is a protest!

Didn't protest when we beat QPR Hull and Sheff Wed.

Too many people are being brainwashed by CARD and their protests. They're like a terrorist group.

I'm not. I can't believe people are buying the CARD propaganda. I bet most don't even know the reasons why their protesting.

What propaganda?

Fans were unhappy and protesting before CARD even formed.

You've mentioned twice in this thread now that there were no protests during our other home wins. No-one has said that protesting is the reason for our last two home wins but the fact that we have won both when protesting puts to bed this notion that it has a negative affect on the players.

I would love to know your reasons for being a Roland/Meire sympathiser, you've never actually divulged.

That's your counter-argument to all the protests is it?

Brilliant.

  • Walked into the club and sold key players claiming they were 'not good enough'.
  • Told Chris Powell who he should and shouldn't be playing.
  • Brought in players behind Powell's back promising them they would get game time.
  • Sacked a popular manager for no reason other than having the audacity to challenge his ideas.
  • Putting in place a CEO with zero knowledge of running a business or most importantly, a football club.
  • Has a bizarre belief that success can be achieved by bringing in 5th rate managers from 5th rate leagues.
The following are lies told by Katrien Meire (employed by Roland btw, his representative):

  • She interviewed 20 applicants for the vacant managers job in 24 hours before hiring Guy Luzon (despite rumours weeks in advance)
  • Every decision they have made is the right one.
  • We've considered British managers.
  • She wishes to strengthen relationships with the supporters (which is laughable and we'll get to the reasons why)
These are all blatant lies.

Meire antics:

  • Her condescending and sarcastic nature during fans' forums.
  • Claiming that our history is in the past and therefore doesn't matter.
  • Urging Charlton supporters to stand up against protesters as they represent only 2% of the fan base.
  • Laughing at protesters.
  • Her comments in Ireland, calling Charlton fans weird and customers. She then has the brass neck to try and defend those comments, trying to claim they were misconstrued.
Sound like stuff someone who is keen to create a relationship with supporters would do?

This is all stuff I have literally plucked from the top of my head but the list goes on, it may not seem that Roland is responsible for a lot of this stuff but he is. Meire is just his fall guy.

Also, let's not forget that despicable statement he had posted to the official site a couple of weeks back.

Since Roland has taken the reigns, we have regressed - no question. We've gone from mid table to relegation fodder in two years, all down to Roland's poor management and ridiculous recruitment strategy.

So I ask you again, why would you defend these two?

So you'd rather take life under Slater & Jiminez than these would you?

This is the best we're going to get for a while so suck it up and grin and bare it.

I don't know why I bothered. You just have no idea, do you?

I'm very glad those fans in the mid eighties to early nineties didn't just grin and bare it.

It's lucky we started the season as well as we did because we look fucking terrible at the minute. Very poor from us again, devoid of any confidence going forward, we need to get Kyle Lafferty fit so he can drop the current striking options, Vaughan and Donaldson couldn't score in a brothel at the moment.

Good day out though :)

Yes mate, had a good tour actually, done The Globe by Maylebone, then some scran at the Weatherspoons opposite. Had a quick pint in the pub opposite Charlton station, then one in the pub half way between that and the Pickwick, finally had a few in the Pickwick watching the Villa game while the kids blew the cobwebs out with a mass football match in the garden!!

Met some good folk, had a good chat with some Charlton fans regarding the protests etc empathised as we're also a club at odds with the ownership.

As I say, good day all round, aside from the actual football!!!:D

I remember when the Pickwick used to be just over £3 a pint, but £3.60 for one now is outrageous.
