A night of tribute to life-long Charlton supporter, PC Keith Palmer.

50% of ticket sales going to his family and the players are also donating their match appearance fee so fair fucks to them.

People have been rallying to try and break the boycott for this game only to pay their respects so should be healthy crowd at The Valley although I doubt quite the sellout that people are hoping for.

As for the football, vital that we win tonight. A defeat could see us only two points above the drop if other results go against us. Hopefully, the occasion and a big crowd will help us on our way to a massive three points, a big Charlton win is the best way to honour Keith Palmer in my opinion.

Will no doubt be an emotional evening, just hope the players rise to the occasion. I think they will.

2-0 Charlton.

I hope it's busy for Keith Palmer, a really kind gesture from Charlton to donate half of the ticket sales.
In terms of the game, a win by more than 2 goals will take us into the bottom half, but our away form is probably the only thing worse off under Neilson than Robinson.
That being said, I heard Watt is potentially out, so I'm going for an away win

I've been thinking about it mate, still am right now. I obviously want to turn up for 'One of our own' and of course, get behind the team in an important game.

On the other hand, I vowed that Roland would never profit from me again. Should I put that to one side for one night? I don't know. If the club were giving up 100% of ticket sales, I'd be there no question. To be honest, I'm swaying towards staying at home and just donating the full £20 that I would have paid for a ticket to his justgiving page. I know I'm in a minority on this one, and fully respect those choosing to go to this one game.

Stick to your guns I'd say. I think if I was in your shoes I'd be staying in the boozer, If you feel it necessary to donate £20 then fair enough that's a good gesture.

Yeah, that's what I'm likely to be doing.

No issue with people going to this one, as long as it is just a one-off. If we get a good crowd in at least it'll show any potential buyers the sort of crowds we can get when we're all pulling in the same direction.

As I say, the best tribute we can pay the man is by getting all three points. I'm sure that's what he would have been wanting most tonight.

Tbh, if you want to honour that brave copper, attending is way ahead of an anonymous £20.

This has nothing to do with your insidious owner.

We are a woeful, woeful side.

The gesture of giving up your match fee means absolutely fuck all if you can't be bothered to turn up and earn your money anyway.

Think your players thought if we're donating our match fee, we may as well not bother turning up, KRobbo really has done a great job of confusing your players hasn't he ? Amusing that in his after match press conference he felt the need to take the plaudits for our performance, lol !

Looks like they have no desire to play for him.

I don't tend to read/listen to any of his post/pre match comments anymore, really couldn't have less interest in anything he has to say.
