We needed that break, practically full strength starting 11 today.

3-0 Charlton.

Hugely frustrating.

Firstly, I hope I never see another Rotherham fan claim that the FL don't want them in this league again, Keith Stroud certainly does, some truly awful decisions were given in Rotherham's favour in the first half, the worst of which was the the most blatant of goal kicks that was awarded to Rotherham as a corner, which they then scored from. That said our defending was all over the place.

Pope made a couple of good saves but we were generally dominant and should have won the game quite comfortably, not disheartened as the performance wasn't bad but it was just a mixture of missed chances and poor refereeing decisions.

Rotherham aren't very good, I thought they would be relegated at the start of the season and saw nothing yesterday to suggest otherwise.

Oh so bitter.
Do you really think we haven't had poor decisions.?
You may have had more possession but if had not been for Pope's wonder save we would have got the 3 points.
Everybody thinks we'll get relegated, the includes 75% of our own fans.
But then they did last year.

Not bitter at all, just stating facts. The referee made some howlers in your favour, I also said our defending from the corner that shouldn't have been was poor, which is inexcusable from our point of view.

I highlighted Pope's saves too and that our failure to put the ball in the back of the net played its part just as much as the referee did, probably more.

My comments about Rotherham aren't bitter either, just calling it as I see it.

You're alright.
Nobody likes dropping points to little old Rotherham, we are just here to be cannon fodder.

I don't like dropping points to anyone mate.

You got a draw at Charlton so let's drop this whole Rotherham proving the doubters wrong act.

It was a pleasing point given our respective starts but we have a very good record against Charlton overall.
And it is no act really is it?
If you examine our circumstances, the smallest team in this league, lowest crowds, lowest budget we do have to prove everybody
wrong in every game.

Evans has done a cracking job at instilling an "us against the world" mentality amongst you lot

I meant a point at Charlton is hardly proving anyone wrong. You're still bottom and winless after 6 games.

Tom I agree that it has to be the way SE makes his team think in order to get our bottom end Championship players competing with players on anything like 5 to 10 times the wages our players are on.

But it wasn't always like this, remember when SE took over we had a top 3 or 4 budget in League 2 and a competitive one in League 1.

He hasn't had to instil the "us against the world" mentality because most of our fans are realistic enough to know that we should finish bottom because along with MK Dons we probably have the least resources.

It doesn't mean either ourselves or MK Dons will be relegated, but it does make it more likely.

Indeed you're right, getting a point from Charlton proves nothing...........we did it twice last season.

You may not agree because you did not rate our performance on Saturday but for the Millers in attendance there was a big improvement on the previous game against Fulham.

At least there was some heart and fight in the performance and the 3 new players look like they will bring some improvement.
We can only hope so.
