We are champions, now let's look forward to winning UCL next season And maintain our PL league title. We need to off load players and we need to add players to become a viable UCL TITLE CONTNEDER.
We need 2 world class CM, a quality striker, LB, CB and a goalkeeper. it's time for us to get better and be named with likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern.

I wouldn't mind getting Koke, Bale and Varane for a start.

Could you really afford to sign those three players without risking FFP penalties?

What is so funny
How you think its as easy as that. As mentioned abovve what about FFP? And Chelseas recent transfer policy has been one in one out?

And a New Goalkeeper?! :eye:

You have Curtouis. In the top three best keepers in the world without doubt and surely Peter Cech is the best second choice keeper at any side in the world?!

I didn't say it would be easy if we can get one of three or two of three ok. We will be loosing Petr shortly he is too good of player to be sitting oN the bench. Our third keeper Blackmon In my opinion is not a back I would want

You'll need to wait at least another 30 years so that you have at least a small amount of history first. Money buys you titles and fans, but not history.

You have Azpilicueta and Filipe Luis and you think you need a LB?

When you have 30+ players on loan, hoarding sell-able assets before FFP restrictions could interfere, and can send brown envelopes to attain ridiculous fees for the likes of David Luiz, anything is possible. Fortunately, Roman can buy the players back if their judgement was wrong (see Matic and potentially Kevin De Bruyne). I think it's quite obvious Chelsea realised that Roman's riches would mean fuck all if they had to turn a profit, so they bought up all the potential they could so that they could "organically" cover the costs of mega-transfers in the future. It's how capitalism opportunists like Donald Trump operate; buy assets with no intention of anything other than selling them for a profit. It's not illegal, of course.

Not that Manchester United didn't take advantage of commercialization, but the above is one reason (among several) Mourinho will never compare to SAF. SAF, and Wenger, too, have built up clubs to the financial powerhouses they are today similar to how Paisley redefined Liverpool many decades ago. Well that and his links with Dr. Eufemanio Funtes. :shut:

You misunderstood I was not talking about history I was referring to the UCL next season . We all know they are rich in history but every UCL season teams of that caliber are considered as contenders and not pretenders.

Ivanovic maybe out Luis is definitely out. Azpilicueta will move to his preferred RB hence we may need a LB

Did Mourinho tell you this information?

This is the worst time of the year now for transfer speculation. Newspapers start drying up on actual football stories and start coming up with 'This might be this starting eleven next year' and the team has about 7-8 speculative transfers in it that they have been linked with by some shitty Twitter account. Hell any ham-and-egger can come up with a dream team they would like next season or who they'd like to leave.

I can't wait until there is a thread about every individual clubs unsubstantiated transfer activity.

Chelsea need to make 1 transfer. Bale. He's a top player that brings an attacking balance. He alone would be enough.

Another striker is a must. Drogba isn't really up to it, and there's no way Chelsea can rely on Costa/Remy to get them through a whole season. Not if they want to challenge on several fronts.

Problem is, whoever you bring in is likely to spend most of the season playing second fiddle to Costa. Trying to find someone who's good enough to improve the team but not quite so good that he's happy to be on the bench will be difficult.

I think 2 good strikers is a must for them, one to be happy to play rarely but one to be able to step up for when Costa gets his inevitable seasonal injury.

Where on earth has this one come from? You like making unsubstantiated claims about us don't you haha.

I should have placed a whistling emoji next to the Mourinho links with Fuentes and doping since it is circumstantial and largely connected to the Deco incidents.

I stand by the Luiz allegation. It's the only plausible explanation. Not that brown envelopes are specific to Chelsea, mind. Someone from sunny Portugal had to send Fergie an envelope of drugs before the Anderson and Bebe signings.

They have Bamford, if Mourinho actually looked at his academy he would see that there are plenty of people just waiting for the chance to shine, and half of them probably could do a job

I'm not convinced Bamford is the answer. He's had a very good season for Middlesborough, but there's a significant step-up from that to seriously challenging for the Champions League.

If Bamford was third choice behind two reliable, quality strikers then I could get on board with that. But both Costa and Remy are far from reliable, and let's be honest, Remy is good, but he isn't anything special.

For me, a strike force of Costa/Remy/Bamford isn't going to win the Champions League. Where would that strike force rank against other teams in Europe? It wouldn't even be in the top 5. It wouldn't even be the best strike force in England. If Chelsea are serious about stepping up next year, they need better back-up than Remy and Bamford.

EDIT: I should also add that a year of being third choice striker for Chelsea will do Bamford little good at all. He should go out on loan again to a Premiership team where he's guaranteed regular football.

Icardi from Inter Milan looks nailed on. We're looking at a keeper for the departing Cech....I've heard rumours about Rob Green or the Getafe gk. Luis looks like he might be on his way back to Atletico so a left back might be needed.

There's also a fairly good chance Oscar might be on his way. A good transfer fee there will open up the chance to buy a top top player like Bale.

The problem is in Spain is they expect him to match Ronaldo for goals and assists because of the price tag.

He's still one of the best in the world...no matter what some biased newspaper in Spain says, you'd be a fool to believe otherwise.

Like you wouldn't be shitting a brick watching him line up to tear Liverpool apart with consummate ease.
