On a serious note how does this affect us having 4 teams in next seasons Champions League?

Hideous performance. No faith from Jose that our players were capable of playing attacking football even against 10 men, so he set us up conservatively and to play reactively. It's been the same thing in our last 10-15 games, and the players are never going to improve in form or confidence if they aren't even given license to go and express themselves in a big game at home when you've been handed a gift in the shape of the opponents' best player being unjustly sent off.

We deserve to go out, deserve criticism for our negative and wank football, and probably deserve all the slating we're going to get for trying to influence the ref and for diving all over the place (tho PSG were just as guilty of that).

Carry on the route we have been for the last three months and we may even throw away the league title as well. This team isn't even in the same galaxy as the one from September / October.

Next season, not at all. Season after that it might but probably not. EPL was 2nd going into this season and it'll most likely be 3rd, which is still 4 spots.

Chelsea couldn't cope with the "extra" pressure of playing against 10 men at home.

According to Mr.Mou.

Well we in England don't accept diving, rolling around and screaming at the ref as clever and intelligent in this Country then. No because it's fucking cheating.

The only thing better than this would have been Jamie Redknapp on Sky getting one back on Mourinho ;)

That's what my reading of the coefficients suggests too. Germany are definitely going to overtake us, Italy are still a long way back at the moment but they've got more teams still in competitions this season so could get a lot closer.

Yeah, it's certainly a possibility the famous top four will be top three a few years down the line, but it's still unlikely in my opinion. But obviously that's more guesswork than actually reading into statistics.

He's just said another side were cynical and wasted time to see the game out. Jose Mourinho said that.

I think it's very likely unless there is a massive turn around soon. English clubs are going backwards in Europe, it won't take long for Germany and Italy to catch us on current trends, and then there will be three.

To be fair though, he started off saying that they didn't deserve to go through.

The rest was absolutely drivel, but credit where it's due.

Edit: He also said Zlatan's red wasn't a red. This is obvious to all of us but he surprised me.

You are perfectly right, but I feel this is as bad as it's gonna get. But like I said, guesswork.

Bravo les gars !!
Match of the season. Had everything!
Silva silly for the penalty but made amends.
But great comeback from PSG and despite having 10 men, played extremely well esp the midfield.
Now for Monaco to do us all proud!

When Luiz is in the mood he's a fucking colossus. Great to see him get one over on that disgusting lot who were giving him grief all night.

Just Ligue 1 in general. But I do have my favourites so to speak. Paris, OL and Auxerre (Ligue 2).
Ah, alright. I have a bit of a soft spot for Paris having lived there for quite a while but I didn't like the fans too much. Supported them more than ever tonight, mind.

Well, that was a load of utter wank. Such a negative performance against 10 men. Really quite an appalling effort.

Some serious questions need to be asked of Mourinho in the wake of this. Well done PSG, thoroughly deserved.

I have a mate like you, he supports Chelsea, Man City and Liverpool, though he claims it's just because they all play terrific football :D

it is all well and good us laughing at chelsea. its a sad fact that they are still the best equipped english team to progress the furthest in Europe. city are a complete laughing stock, liverpool are hilariously bad in both the cl and the weaker el and frankly belong in neither. arsenal are naive and that stems from the manager. at least chelsea have a decent manager and a squad to match, they were just beaten by the better team tonight.
