Calamity keeper strikes again!

If you want to talk about Karius's fuck up which gave away the penalty you're best using the Palace Liverpool thread.

You have to say the top 4 is settled now. It's just a question of whether Spurs or Liverpool finish 3rd.

Absolutely cracking, a monkey off our back, a fine mature performance by Tottenham. Yet more progression of the team under Poch, happy days! :bg:

Karius and Migs put together have made far less mistakes this season than that awful Spurs keeper. He'll stop France from winning the World Cup.

Really pleased for Alli, really pleased about him scoring a brace to annoy the sh*t out of Chelsea fans. He is a game changer, a winner, a bit like rat faced play maker Hazard but much less of a twat.

Deli Alli wakes up in a cold sweat most mornings having just dreamt he could end up with Hazard's ability.

It's no use having all that ability if you're not going to turn up when it matters. Chelsea get maybe a dozen great games out of Hazard a season and almost none of them when they're really up against it.

Correct, Hazard is an outstanding player on his day, but when he drops out of a game he really drops out. The thing with Deli is that he can have a sh*t game but still be a game changer, popping up with a goal despite not playing well. Spurs watchers know that last season (when Deli was supposed to be so much better than this season) he was pretty average in a fair number of games, but still came up with the goods when it mattered.

Sure, he didn't play that well against Liverpool at Wembley mate, but he still managed to put it in the onion bag didn't he? Give me a player who can have an average game yet still manage to score goals over one who has the talent but goes missing from time to time. Personally I think the goals Deli scored against Chelsea have clouded some pundits judgement over how well he played today. The first goal was excellent, a real piece of skill to do that, but it was a glorious ball to plant it on his foot. Second goal? Scrappy as they come. In between he wasn't really all that impressive. Am I glad he is on our side? Oh yes...:bg:

Speaking as a neutral, Alli is much more of a twat than Hazard.

As for the "winner" comment, Hazard is a current and former Premier League champion, a former Ligue 1 champion and former Europa League winner whereas Alli has thus far only managed a League One runner's up medal. Alli is younger, of course, and has played for weaker teams than Hazard, still......just saying.

No doubt. He doesn't seem to get as much criticism because he is young and a local lad but he was awful yesterday. If he performs like that against city we will get murdered.

No doubt that Hazard has achieved more, albeit in a better and far more expensive side.
At his best, he is spectacular and a far more polished player as well.

However, although you can question Alli's temperament and tendency to get wound up, he doesn't down tools when he just doesn't fancy the manager as happened with Hazard in the case of Mourinho and now Conte.

Yesterday's match tells us that tottenham is growing, as a company, staff and player parks. It 'a team that is becoming great, it deserves great compliments.

Chelsea this summer will start again with a new technical staff and will have to start almost from the beginning, making the great work of Antonio Conte vain.

Without the right time and unconditional trust you can not build a team that can open a medium-long cycle of successes. (I add even without the right harmony)

Yaarp, what I meant by "winner" was match winner, of course Hazard has won more.
As for the "twat" comment, well I'm a Spurs fan aren't I? Just fan vernacular mate, I'm likely to describe every player and fan of the club as a "twat". I suspect both players are decent enough human beings in reality, being unreasonably prejudiced and immature is one of the joys of being a football fan.:bg:

Alexander-Arnold's fuck-up surely,

TAA was beaten in the race to the ball when he shouldn't have been but to call Karius's challenge late and clumsy is being polite. Lucky not to have been sent off.

Wrong thread anyway.
