Last time we played Doncaster in the league we won to stay in League 1 and stopped them from going up automatically. Atmosphere was electric at Whaddon Road, and I ended up getting drunk and walking from a curry house in Gloucester to my flat singing "Paul Connor my Lord" to the tune of Kum by yah. Great days.

That was 2008 though, and a hell of a lot of water has gone under the bridge since then.

I think we've started well, considering the players we have had unavailable and having had some tough games to get started with. It'll be another toughy on Saturday, but we're bouyed by the return of James Dayton at least and possibly Amari Morgan-Smith. Holman is likely to miss out and Jack Munns is now on the long-term injury list.

No-one said the return was going to be easy.

I remember that day well, hot and cracking atmosphere, I still can't believe how badly we played that day however it did allow us our first ever trip to Wembley so you are forgiven. On to tomorrow's game:
We've lost another 2 defenders, Mason 8 weeks and Garrett 4 weeks, that's 6 defenders out now along with Keegan and McSheffrey. We have apparently had the most shots on target of all the EFL clubs so far, given that we will struggle to defend but put a lot of pressure on your goal.

Another win and clean sheet and both games we've played 4-4-2 I hope Fergie gets the message

Good God we were awful. I'd criticise the midfield, but there was no midfield. I'd criticise the forward line, but there was no forward line.

This was shocking.

I'm not panicking, one shocking game does not make a season, but I honestly can't believe how much we're missing Kyle Storer. This could be struggle if we don't buck up our ideas.
