Both 6 from 9 at the start of the season going into this one - usually a decent game v Rochdale to be honest and they like to knock it about a bit which last season saw them get a bit of a dickin at our place. Same again woudl be excellent.

Don't expect we will change the side here.

Will say 1-1, 5800 there + however many (500?) from Dale.

One of the biggest 2-1 dickings I've ever seen last season.

Good team Rochdale, they try to play it the right way. Henderson is a baller. If Andrew scores I'm windmilling.

2-1 Town. Still no clean sheet.

3-1 town, Novak Morsy and SEB
Although if Morsy carries on scoring I can't help thinking it's going to mean the day he leaves will come sooner than we all want.

Hows McDermott been doing for dale?

Macca has shone for us so far. We've had a decent start.

Are you stronger or weaker than last season? I suspect we are about the same strength.

Losing Roberts, darikwa, clucas and Ryan we're obviously going to be weaker, but we've still played well in all our games this season, and probably didn't deserve to lose against sheff u

Ebanks Blake is actually looking good, despite a few thinking he wouldn't do much, and Novak is a top signing for this league, so after a few games playing together they should start bagging a few between them.

Dan Gardner is getting more game time now, he's one player that never really did much under the last regime, but he's getting better by the game.

Early days, but last seasons squad players are getting a chance and grabbing it with both hands, just hope we can keep hold of Morsy for the season, which I doubt.

McDermott has been excellent so far. Started every game.

Since we almost certainly can't afford to sign him (!), I hope Morsy stays at Chesterfield and does well for you. Or gets a move for decent money to a higher division club - someone of the stature of Bolton/Blackburn/Hudders, maybe.

As for the game - 2-0 to Chesterfield after 90minutes, then extra time goals from Hendo, McDermott and a coup-de-grace from Big Calvin enable Dale to steal a ridiculous 3 points :)

No doubting McDermotts ability, he was outstanding in his loan spell for us, if he's sorted his personal problems you've got yourselves a cracking attacking player.

Problem with Morsy maybe leaving for decent money, is that's his contract expires at the end of the season, so could possibly leave for nothing, or a fraction of what he's worth in this window or January

Tough game. Both had decent starts, we are due a win at Chesterfield though, hopefully that comes tomorrow.

If that happens I'm turning my quiet planned weekend into a savage myriad of destruction.

*Shudders*

Hasn't he already scored his goal for the calendar year though?
He's scored 5 this calendar year with a lengthy time out injured. He's only started 5 league games in total for us, most of them are sub appearances. He scored on Tuesday too. He scored 3 leagues games running for us in January then suffered an injury as he was hitting some serious form!

Entertaining stuff for a 0-0. Both had good chances. Happy enough with the point.

Oh and Keith Hill the referee... What a nob.

Not a point to celebrate but better than losing I suppose.

Fair result although Rochdale probably always looked more likely to find the winner truth be told. We appeared to be a bit off the pace today for some reason, certainly not how we played against Barnsley (the only other time i've seen us play so far). The game had it's moments with both teams keepers making really good first half saves. McDermott was lively for them whilst O'Shea and Novak both struggled for us and actually i thought it was a mistake taking Gardner off, as he looked far more likely to do summat than the two mentioned. On a positive note, nice to get our first clean-sheet of the season.

Lillis & Lee each made one incredible save from point blank range. Apart from that - frustrating to watch. Rochdale never allowed us to build any sort of momentum going forward, I thought they were slightly the better side, with an effective game plan, and we weren't sharp enough to control the game as we'd like it. We'll improve. Hopefully.

He made a good job of going straight through Hird, but other than that, he's non-league fodder. Thought we looked sluggish today and not quite with it. Point fair result in the end probably

He won everything in the air, got into the faces of the defence too. He put in a good shift. He's already scored more goals for us than he has anywhere else in his career. Fans love him too.

I have a pretty good record of choosing games to miss and this seems to have been no exception. I'm probably more disappointed to have missed out on seeing how DM has developed as a footballer since we had him.

Normal service can be resumed for the Wigan game...now they certainly do appear to have started out L1 life with a whimper.

He won everything in the air and every flick on went straight through to our keeper. He did put a shift in to be fair, stopped Talbot coming forwards but if that's what you're best at as a striker you might as well pack it in and go home. Sometimes when I fancy a laugh I go on his wiki page and check his goals to games ratio.

He's never going to be prolific but KH is getting the best out of him. He won't demand a huge wage either. Would take a player like him who always gives 100% to a lazy get, someone in the mold of Ashley Grimes maybe, if he could be bothered he would be a championship striker, but as it is he's a lazy waste of space. Oh and wiki stats aren't very upto date usually, soccerbase is a better bet ;).

Respect as always to Keith Hill.

He's worked a minor miracle getting a club with Mansfield sized crowds to where they are and pretty much snuffed us out yesterday.

But Christ it was dull.

A terrific save from each 'keeper in each half but other than that I could've stopped in the pub.
