Back to the scene of our worst performance under Edinburgh, we surely can't be as bad as that tuesday night. Expect a few changes from the game last weekend, with hopefully Jackson back in at right back, and probably a bit of a shake up in midfield if Loft is unavailable - maybe a change of tack and stick McGlashan in, as by all accounts he put a shift in on tuesday night.

I'd take a draw with a very winnable game at Crewe the week after, but any result is very possible and realistic. I'll go for a 2-2, as we're seeing a lot of goals in our games of late.

Forget Crewe, you've got a very winnable game on Saturday, mate.

We look like such a poor side right now, haven't won at home since the opening day whereas you've made a good, confident start to the season. I'm sure you can do the maths......

This level of negativity from you Spireites can only mean one thing - Chesterfield win.

Loft v Jones could be at least one interesting angle. Have they met since on the pitch?

Don't think they will meet this week either.
Loft came off injured on Tuesday with a recurrence of the injury which kept him out for the whole of pre-season and the first half a dozen league games.
I fancy us for this.
If Loft is unavailable we still have Hessie Jnr, Osadebe, McGlashan or Morris who can come in there.
I just hope Jackson is fit though as he makes a fundamental difference to the way we play.

Loft could be injured - went off against Oldham at half time with an apparant achilles problem.

10-0 Chesterfield, finally avenging their Kentish twatting from 1987.

Loft and Jackson both out per our official site.
Jackson the bigger loss of the two.
Draw now maybe.
Or a win.
Or something else.

I'm guessing it'll be:

Nelson
Morris - Egan - Ehmer - Garmston
Wright
Houghton - Osadebe
Dack
McDonald - Donnelly

G. Morris, Lennon, Dickenson, McGlashan, Williamson, Norris and Hessenthaler on the bench.

Reckon you may be right except swap Hessie Jnr for Osabebe.

For some bizarre reason I'm tempted to drive up tomorrow. If I do, where's decent to park Spireites?

What, on your own?

Tesco will be fine. Or the other little retail park just south of the ground on Sheffield Road (Asda, Halfords etc). Neither even bother handing out meaningless tickets - I park down the side of Asda myself if I'm in car.

If you're uneasy about that for any reason have a look of Google Maps and street parking is easy enough around Pottery Lane (other side of by-pass) or the opposite side of the ground up around Chantrey Avenue, Malson Way. Don't try Nelson Street or Sanforth Street which are the two streets of terraced houses running up the hill away from the ground - they're signed 'except for access' and that has often been enforced both by the police and disgruntled local residents.

NIce one thanks.

Yeah, on my own! Got a few mates going to the game but they're going from Sheffield so I'll just meet them there!

Pretty sure Dack wants to fuck Morsy. I know he's a damn good looking lad but please leave him alone for a bit.

Scoreline looking very nice at the present moment. I pity you Spireites being subjected to Dean Saunders.

Chesterfield have quite a problem, the team needs strengthening, but do you give Dean fucking Saunders the money to spend?

Between a rock and a hard place.

Sounds like a hardworking performance. Our fans there reckon we were'nt great (didn't need to be?) but grew into the game as it went on and ran out deserved comfortable winners.

Fair call? Or usual gobshoite from one-eyed fans? :bg:
