The only good thing representing Walsall today was our fans. It probably didn't make it to the home end, but I thought we had a real good sing song in our end. Only 400 odd so it wouldn't have travelled, but it was fun in the first half especially. For a nothing club with small followings, our away noise is generally very good. Nobody makes that effort at the Bescot.

Thought it was a good effort from Walsall fans today actually. When the game is as shit as it was today it's very easy to sit in silence so fair dues there.

The travelling Saddlers were the most entertaining part of the afternoon.

Were you playing Chesterfield or Wolves, though? I get the local thing, but do their fans give any kinda shit about Walsall? Honestly? Then what was the stuff about Shrewsbury; Shrewsbury? Really? And the IRA and ISIS?

Blimey, some serious issues goin' on amongst you lads and lasses.

That singing section performed a vertigo-inducing U-turn, too. Eighty five minutes extolling their own virtues and telling us what we can do with our crooked spire (whilst insisting one of the visiting subs can apparently 'score when he wants'. Didn't want to yesterday, then...) only to suddenly demand that 'Deano sorts it out' when we netted.

Given that an uncharacteristically low-key performance still had us comfortably in control for the most part maybe that advice should've come sooner.

The truth is we've played much better this season yet come away with nowt. Well yesterday was the yin to that yang.

If we had produced points when playing poorly more often, as per yesterday, we'd be comfortably in the play-off places.

We ain't got anything else to sing about, you saw our performance! :(

But we hate Shrewsbury, that's just a fact.

Shrewsbury? Surely no one hates them. Lovely Tudor buildings, a picturesque river running through it and inoffensive locals.

What an utter pile of gash, although I found a nice pub in Brimington.

THE most boring game I have seen in a long time. Our attacking play has gone from being slow --> pedestrian --> dead.

We were terrible and Chesterfield wern't much better, didn't exactly put us to the sword.

I think the most debateable part of that post is that you found a nice pub in Brim! The Ark Tavern used to be passable but no idea what it's like round there these days.

It just shows how bad we are at the moment to consider that I think we have played worse than that recently and I have been even more bored in other games!! Barnsley away and Wembley for starters. Not only have we lost that nice creative on the deck football we used to have but there is no grit or graft in the team. We have a team weak midgets who wouldn't have a clue how to graft out a win when not playing well. Getting real relegation concerns now as we are both totally devoid of confidence and seem to have no fight or team spirit.

No mistake about it, Chesterfield were terrible in this game.......we were worse!!
