8.3 earthquake has struck Chile, that's one I know for sure.

The twitter page I follow also says 15 minutes ago a 6.8 earthquake has hit Brazil, well that's huge I reckon given that Brazil don't build their houses to sustain earthquakes and according to this, it hit land. However I don't know if its true because nothing on google news. Will give it time before I say anything.

As for Chile, I do care about it also, but this happens often in Chile where as this never happens in Brazil.

Looking like nothing happened in Brazil and that was indeed a mistake.

Chile did truly get an Earthquake though.

15 foot waves crashing in, that must be scary unless you've got a surfboard.

Man the South American ignorance in North America is pathetic. No one cared about the 8.8 a few years ago either.

Scary stuff in Chile right now but judging from the current death toll, the people sounded very prepared.

It reminds me of a Sky TV news broadcast about an earthquake about ten years ago (was it the Indonesian earthquake that caused the great tsunami perhaps) in which the first sentence announced the devastating earthquake, and the second sentence was along the lines of "We're not aware of any British casualties." Well that's alright then.
