Pray that Matthews isn't crocked, Little is utter gash. He planted his first touch straight into the stand with no one around him.
he also dealt with Gouffran better than Matthews did.
Matthews is the better defender, but Little put in a better performance today

Going to have to improve in the final third to do anything of note this season. While we more than held our own we really didn't create much which was disappointing.

I agree with JJH, I thought we were dissapointing. We gave the ball away far too often and didnt test the Newcastle defense enough to be able to say we deserved a point imho. 0-1 was a fair reflection of the game, they were better organised off the ball than we were and closed us down effectively.

I think overall, we can be satisfied by the way we've started the season. We've beaten the teams that we would be expected to take points from.. And lost narrowly without disgracing ourselves to two teams that basically still have premier league squads. If we keep doing that we'll be absolutely fine.
