Shrewsbury have recently announced their club accounts for the year and for our relegation season we lost £280,000, down from £385,000 the year before. Just shows how important cup runs can be, we went out early on in all 3 competitions in both seasons.

http://www.shropshirestar.com/news/...-town-fc-vows-not-to-borrow-to-secure-future/

I think it shows 2 things, 1) how tough we found L1 in our 2 years up there and 2) how badly we spent the money we did have (the team last year was terrible!)

Good news is we still have over a million in the bank and are using our cash reserves to cancel out the losses. This obviously isn't sustainable in the long term but we're increasing our off the pitch income and we've also got Taylor's 300k (400-100 for Barnett). We also had a very good carling cup run which would have brought in a fair bit of cash.

The club have basically stated we've invested in our future with the players we have and their sell on potential (woods, Goldson etc).

Wondering how other teams accounts look?

For what its worth, last season we turned over around £3m in revenue - that's however the £700,000 central funding, ST revenue from nearly 6,000 people and an average matchday home attendance of around 8,500 which we've had this season.

However, expenditure last season was around £5m. All covered by shareholders funds. We do have a couple of people with deep pockets. One gentlemen has put around £10-12m of his own money into the club since 2008, when the 2020 consortium took over. Another gentlemen;keepshimself to himself, but is directly involved with One Direction, Adele, Calvin Harris etc. Not sure whether he's having any direct financial input, but I think he's worth a fair bit of money!

Rosy. The key number was (ball) 26.

Yep, plus two Wembley trips, selling LuBez, and all other successes in the bargain. Not to mention the fact our attendances are significantly better than what we'd have dreamed to budget of.

Awkwardly split over accounting/footballing/calendar years so hard to judge, but last year and this year (footballing calendar) probably make up two of the only years of our history that we've made a profit.

I'm scared to death we'll completely spunk this money we've got.

Oxford United’s annual losses went up to more than £1.4million in the year ending June last year.
The latest set of accounts were published today and show they were in the red to the tune of £1,449,359.
It was more than £300,000 higher than over the previous 12 months and the third year in a row the club lost in excess of £1m.

I trust in Jez and the Dog. Probably couldn't have a sounder duo on investing rather than spunking. Our landlords and major shareholder will probably also be having words in their shell-like.

I'd certainly hope so, my concern is that they'll react to the last few months of discontent by pushing it towards the playing side.

We were promised toilets. WE WERE PROMISED TOILETS!

If we won at Old Trafford wasn't it? Either way, we have a lot of money to invest in ourselves however we choose, and if a small bit of that doesn't get spent on upgrading the loos and tarting up the front it'll be a bit of a shame.

How cheap are your tickets? Appreciate we were 2 divisions higher but our turnover was 4.5 million with crowds of 5,500 and about 2500 season tickets.

Generally around £300 on average last season - however these have risen for next season. Our revenue will go up a lot this year - I'm guessing not far off £4m + £600,000 received for Andre Gray in the summer.
