This shouldn't be too much of a problem after we got the two goal cushion we were looking for in the first leg.

Sounds like Van Gaal might rotate the squad a little and give Fellaini his first start of the season...in the number ten position.

I would rather see Herrera start instead of Fellaini... But maybe Fellaini playing up front would help Rooney a bit.

Hopefully Herrera would start anyway, either behind Rooney or instead of Carrick/ Schweinsteiger

Can LVG afford to rest too many players given that the tie is still fairly close?

I think when you talk about starting Fellaini and Herrera you're not really talking about any sort of step down, they'll be just as effective as those they replace given how Man Utd have started the season performance wise.

The media already have them qualified and who would be ideal opponents in the group stage. Nauseating.

Great to see Herrera starting, he is what the side has been lacking, he was great last season, dont know why we dont play 4-3-3 with Herrera, Schneiderlin and then rotate Carrick/Schweinsteiger with Mata, Depay and Rooney as the front 3. Hope Rooney grab a goal to get his confidence back and Herrera can make his mark again. I think a poor Januzaj performance could lead to Fellaini coming in behind Rooney at the weekend,. Progression is the main thing but Brugge need to go for it so should be open and chances will be available.

That's it Ander, really make up Van Gaal's mind for him with a thirteenth minute yellow card.

Great play from Memphis and tidy finish from Rooney. Exactly what was needed.

Hat trick of simple goals for Rooney, all put on a plate for him - exactly what he needed really.

Brugge has disintegrated in this 2nd half here.

We have been brilliant on the break though.

I don't understand why Brugges are STILL so open though. Game is well and truly dead, surely it's in their better interests to just limit this to what it is rather than risk conceding more. They are still attacking like mentalists and giving us a counter every couple of minutes.

I don't know whether it's admirable or stupid.

I don't think we'll be seeing Adnan for a while after tonight. A midfield trio of Bastian, Morgan/Carrick and Herrera can be much more influential.

Brugge have been terrible in this second half.

Dunno the score, what are they fluking it again?
They have finally found their level. Worst team in CL Qualifier. San Marino of WC qualifier. Wayne Rooney's Level. Loss against the swans incoming. :eek:bama:
