Phil Stant = legend. I'm sure he'll be highly regarded at other clubs he played for too, including Bury, Cardiff, Lincoln, Hereford etc. Not sure on his time at Notts County though.

Not only was he a great goal scorer but what a great character he is too.

His autobiography is a great read, covering his time growing up, joining the army, the Falklands war, time with the SAS, his football career and his not so success time in football management.

Fair enough, I'd forgotten about his soldiering past. Reckon you could get put together a good team of ex-squaddies. Maik Taylor in goal, Guy Whittingham and Phil Stant up front. Who else?
