Should be a decent challenge this, had the league started 10 games ago only Luton would be above the two of us such has both sides form and improvement been.

Monty back from suspension but would go with the second half side at Carlisle. Hopefully playing holding midfielders as we do this will help us contain Szmodics who has been outstanding for them, seems to have been there a long time too.

We rarely draw this season so fancy us to get a 1-1 draw which would be a decent outcome.

By that theory Andy we’d not have beaten Exeter away or destroyed Oxford in the cup...

Aspin has proven over ten games we are capable of getting results, the squad isn’t as bad as it appeared more down to Browns shocking management and tactics and the confidence drained from that.

Pope looks set for 25 goals this season yet scored 1 of his 11 during Browns tenure and example. Whitfield looking a class act which we never saw under MB.

If Aspo had been in charge from August we’d have been around the top 7 with this squad.

Thankfully we acted before it was too late.

Ugh poor defensive line gifted them the lead and after a very good start we seem to have gone off the boil as the half wore on.

Excellent point that is. Would have taken that pre-game so happy with that. Been impressed with the efforts from Vale away from home over this little stretch of games since Yeovil.

Great point and sounds the least we deserved having hit the bar and had one off the line in a dominant second half.

Two of the best sides in the league in the last 10 games or so and would have taken that before.

Half way to 50 at the half way point which is incredible considering we had only 5 points going into game 13 of 23!

I thought it was a really good, entertaining game in the first half. Really quick play, fairly end to end and lots of attacking football. Felt we were worthy of going in at the break a goal ahead, especially with Wright missing an absolute sitter shortly after we had taken the lead.

Second half was a totally different story though. Couldn't keep hold of the ball for more than a few touches, the game became really scrappy and we were under a lot more pressure. The equaliser was coming as we were hanging on a bit really and other than hitting the bar straight after the equalising goal, I don't think we tested the goalkeeper in the second half.

Incredibly frustrating as it feels like a bit of a missed opportunity today looking at the other scores and knowing we've got back to back away games now. Vale looked decent enough though.

Worrall should of played it wide to Harness looking at the highlights and he’s then clean through.

Boot hesitating cost us the goal as he had took a heavy touch but in fairness didn’t make the same mistake two minutes later.

Great headers from Smith off the line and Kay who got bullet power but hit the bar.

Superb ball from Denton for Harness.

Again we’ve looked better once Barnett comes on and we go two up top... might be worth trying that from the start Boxing Day.

The cross for the goal was the right height and seemed to confuse there defence. We had put in several high balls into there box which there number 18 headed away with ease. We are better with 2 upfront but could do with a more mobile forward than Barnett.
