Tough one this. Dunno if its just me but we never seem to get owt here.

Good result sat even if the performance wasnt the best. We can build on that though. Would like to see forte start for poleon and poleon move up top for the injured cassidy. Poleon aint a winger. Would like dunn given more game time too along side green.

I know i might be contradicting myself but would like a win here, would be very disappointed with a loss given colchesters start.

We actually drew at their place on the opening day last season.

Would love another 3pts here - will really give the team some confidence. We were largely shite against Fleetwood, however I've seen us play very well and lose games like that far too fucking often so I'll take one favouring us for a change all day long.

Colchester don't appear to have had the greatest of starts. Had this been at BP, I'd have said Colchester 1-0 win without a doubt.

Joel Coleman

Connor Brown James Wilson Jonathan Burn Joseph Mills

Liam Kelly

Lee Croft Carl Winchester Mike Jones Jonathan Forte

Danny Philliskirk
Possibly Turner for Philliskirk. Dunn may be ready to start. As for Poleon - I'd rather play with 10 men.

Colchester 1-2 Latics

Philliskirk & Forte

We've won two and drawn once in the last three years down there. I would take a point, but I reckon we will lose this one. 2-0 Colchester.

Our start hasn't been too bad really. Blackpool were surprisingly quite impressive on the opening day but, after a wobbly first half, we battered them after the break and could easily have had all three points. We held a near enough full-strength Reading side for 115 minutes in the cup and then were in control at Peterborough yesterday until three minutes cost us the game - a cross went into the top corner, and the goalkeeper let one in that he ought to have saved. Up until then we had deservedly gone in front.

We look like we could be very exciting going forward, but are prone to mistakes at the back. We ought to be a comfortable 14-16th this season really, and this is the sort of game where we need to pick up that first win to get going.
