Big game this for us, we must show we're capable of beating the teams around us and what a better time to do it against an in form Rovers side.

Not going to happen mate. It'll be an absolute massacre, 4-0 Gas with "sir" Colin missing 10 absolute sitters. I have foreseen!

Colin will get a great welcome. He may not know it but he really helped in us getting our club back.

We actually "owe" Mansfield for that day. If we stayed up that season, no doubt we'd be in a relegation battle this year or would now be in the conference.

Im interested to see how this one will pan out after the reverse fixture of "If Rovers tried to play football against us we would have won easily". I'm curious to see how this will pan out

Get the beers in then Gassy as a thank you.

We are without Yusseff who has been banned for 5 games for urinating behind the back of the stand at Plymouth. Bit of a piss take

Colin will always be a hero to our fans for that goal 2 seasons ago :bravo: Had we gone down we would have folded or joined the southern league.

Absolute joke mate. What happens to the Plymouth lads that did it too and told him it's alright to do it. They have got him into this wee situation.

Sir Colin of Mansfield helped us get our club back and for that we will be greatful. Not greatful enough to give them 3 points however (hopefully)

Was an ill tempered clash in the first match, a 98th minute winner, 3 sending offs. Will be interesting to see what kind of reception no-necked Nicky Hunt gets, it's usually bad enough for ex-City players but he was truly a thug in the first game and probably should have had two reds before he was eventually sent off for his second booking.

Good bit of momentum going our way at the moment with the three back to back wins, at home at the moment we are pretty successful also. 2-0 win to the Gas in DC's 100th game. Cracking manager and another thing to be thankful to Mansfield for.

You can try I suppose but you'd have to visit London to visit Nicky.

Colin Daniel has to be one of the quietest and unassuming of footballers; who rarely talks much in the local media. I'd imagine that he isn't at all comfortable with the attention that he gets in Bristol.

Just a guy who keeps himself to himself and scored a goal against a side that over 46 games wasn't good enough to stay in the Football League.

As for the result of the game - we are in decline and are short of striking options. Rovers seem to be on fire and I expect a pretty easy defeat unfortunately, as we've stopped keeping clean sheets.

Im going for a draw at best. We are starting to pick up injuries..Also 4-5 first team players have been struck by this horrible virus going round, expect the most depleted squad we have fielded all season tomorrow!!

I fear you are not far off the mark here Aber. I would be extremely surprised if we got anything from this. 3-0 Gas.

Was feeling pretty confident bit as said above, we could potentially have 3-4 players out ill and a couple of injuries on top of that.
Clarke doesn't really let too much out into the media so who knows what team will start tomorrow or if any players have recovered from being ill.
2-1 gas

Anything less than a win will be a disappointment.

That's no reflection on Mansfield but we have to keep winning home games at this stage of the season if we are to either chase 3rd spot or consolidate in the pray-offs (no typo).

Our home form is really good currently but we all know the gas are capable of losing any game.

Bit of a nothingy game, particularly in the first half. Although I think we did hold a good amount of control on the game and Mansfield only really worried us once to which Mildenhall pulled off a good one handed save.

Think you could tell some of our players were feeling lethargic (the virus going around camp, perhaps?) but I suppose one thing we do do very well is grinding wins even when we don't play particularly well.

Mansfield got what they deserved, didn't even try to attack until 1-0 down, negative, cynical side. If I was a stags fan I would be mighty p*ssed off at going to a playoff rival and not even trying to win.

We haven't beaten so playoff rival - or any top half side - in the entire season. Losing against Rovers and the way we've looked devoid and ordinary in doing so has sadly become a trait since the turning of the year.

I'm a bit miffed with the players to be honest, absolute joke that they're not going for it.

I'd actually put that, as stagsforlife just said, on your players. Gave us a nervy 10 minutes at the end but that's the only time they really went for it. If they went at us prior, could have been a different result

Surprised at how ordinary Mansfield were. The way they approached the game made it feel more like a pre season friendly.

They did absolutely nothing for 85 minutes and to be honest didn't seem to be up for it at all.

Considering we had a number of players out injured and many more playing with the after effects of a virus I thought they'd try to play at a high tempo but they seemed content to park the bus and grind out a 0-0.

Bodin should have scored at the end of the first half when he sliced wide from 6 yards out and we dominated the second until towards the end.

Not at our best but a deserved and important 3 points.

It's clear we've given up. We SHOULD have been 57 points by now with wins over Newport and Yeovil but the players seem to think the season ends in December. We need a lot more up front next season, Chris Beardsley and Westcarr want shipping out for starters.
