Despite my Poolie colleague's antipathy for Gatehead, it would be good to have a local derby as Darlington are now worm food.

Down? Crawley. Sussex already has Brighton and they're media luvvies so enough Sussex.

Wrexham or Grimsby to come up. Both are proper clubs and have served their time in that pit, and either Crawley or Stevenage Borough to fall back to their natural level

Have done a count up
in all 21 clubs have votes to come up, with the leaders being
Wrexham 8 votes
Grimsby 7 votes
Torquay 5 votes
21 clubs have votes to go down
Leader by a country mile on 10 votes Crawley.

I have included any teams where members voted for more than 1 club, and also where it was suggested to swap Luton and Lowestoft.

Keep em coming
Cheers Wombling Kiwi.

I'd like to have Torquay come back up although that's quite unlikely sadly. Only been down there once for an away, but it was a lovely place and a prime drinking spot for an away day ;) Chester also because I miss our annual 6 goal tonking of them.

I'd quite like to have Northampton relegated. Anything that stops us haemorrhaging 6 points a season to them would be welcome in my eyes.

Down - Swindon Town (or Swindle considering how many high court cases and administrations they have had)
Up - Bath City. Local City to me.

Kidderminster or Lincoln to come up. I have soft spots for both Welling and Bromley as I'm from that way, but don't think I could cope with the tinpotness of playing actual league fixtures against them.

Of the 91, I got my wish of Orient getting relegated last year, so I mustn't be too greedy. Still, nothing would please me more than a reunion with Brentford, their cocky fans and shitty sabremetrics, so I'll plump for them to plummet in May. Out of this league, perm any two from the horrible little non-league clubs (Dagenham, Accrington, Morecambe, Stevenage, Crawley, Oxford).

Can't you just wish for us to to be promoted(!)
On the grounds of we always lose to them - the likes of Barnet, Plymouth are strong contenders.

Promoted-Torquay/Cheltenham for location but Id probably like to see Wrexham come up.

Relegated- Portsmouth would be hilarious. As would Leeds/newcastle.

Are you fishing for a bite? If so you've got one.

Oxford are a far bigger club than Orient will ever be. We owe you for 2006 and many of us haven't forgotten your classless pricks of fans goading us from the safety of police protection as we were relegated. See you in October, that you can rely upon.

Oooh, I'm scared! How were your trips to Eastleigh?

Thinking about it though, old Headington were just the Crawley of the last century, getting bankrolled above their station by a crook. Still, at least you're now proving what a massive club you are by, er, having virtually identical attendances to little old us. Don't worry though, you've been in a higher division than Orient for 17 of the past 100 years, so you're definitely right about always being a bigger club, so feel free to comfort yourself with that.

If you're going to quote facts then get it right.

We've never played Eastleigh. We have only been below you for nine out of the last 30 years, which is the last nine (the worst period in our history). During that time we've had higher attendances than you for 29 of those 30 years. We've spent more time in the top flight than you, despite your long and illustrious history. If you're referring to Maxwell, he never bankrolled us, quite the opposite in fact. When he fell off his boat the subsequent investigations found that of he had taken millions out of Oxford United, and left us millions in debt, a situation that has taken years to try to remedy. Let's face it, you've done fuck all in your history.

Until that day when you relegated us I had no feelings for Orient at all, you were insignificant as far as I was concerned. But that day changed all that. We went down due to mismanagement, you merely applied the final nail in the coffin, but the way your fans took the piss will never be forgotten by all Oxford fans. It was classless and uncalled for. Celebrate your victory by all means, but you don't take the piss when a team goes out of the league. I don't think you realise what's coming your way in October.

We owe you one............

Although I think this thread would be a lot more fun if Boreham Wood come up. Signed well over the summer (Doe, B and C Clifford, Woodards, MacDonald, Howell etc) and have a bit of money behind them. Fairly slow start, expect them to improve, the fan reaction to them in League Two would be hilarious.

Facts like "We've always been bigger than you (except for all those years when we haven't that I'm going to selectively ignore)", yeah?

We had over 4,000 fans there that day - how many took the pee? 100? 150? Now you're giving out veiled threats to everyone? Bless you. At least you've got over it and moved on, I suppose. Must've made those away days at Eastleigh more bearable.

No votes for us? :(:(

Down - Millwall.
Up - Grimsby Lincoln Wrexham

PS Surely all Mansfield Fans want Barrow up? Guaranteed Three points and a hat full of goals

I miss a side we can beat 7-1 at home one season then put 8 past them the season after. We had a total 23 goals against them in 4 matches!

Didn't realise there was so much antipathy between Orient and Oxford.

I too would consider selecting Orient for relegation, just to save us from our biannual five-goal drubbing... but firstly there's no way that's going to happen, and also it would probably upset Jabo, so we just have to hope Jabo repays our gracious decision to let Orient stay, by scoring 6 past them to make up for the 5 they're definitely going to put past us.

There isn't. Oxford just have more than their fair share of knuckleheads crawling out of Blackbird Leys - been funny to read their forums over recent years and see our name crop up every now and again with much wailing, gnashing of teeth and dark mutterings of revenge (see above for dickhead exhibit #1).

If you're going to quote me, quote me correctly.

Firstly, I said we are a bigger club than you'll ever be, not that we've always been bigger than you, as 100 years ago you would have been bigger than us, as our history is more recent, but it's not 100 years ago anymore. Secondly, we've never played Eastleigh which I'd already pointed out.

Thirdly, don't try patronising me you fucking arrogant arsehole.

Says the twat who started this off by referring to us as a "horrible little non league club"

You're doing a very good job of reinforcing the stereotype that Oxford fans have, of Orient fans being complete fucking tossers.
