Most yellow cards? Haha ridiculous. Virtually every team we play commit far more fouls then we do, Kurtis Guthrie is fouled virtually every time he goes for the ball (stats prove that as well), and yet all refs seem to do is book our players.

And Barrow need shooting practice.

Interesting stats on there.

The fact Dover have gone 20 games since losing a game by more than one goal shows what a solid job Chris Kinnear is doing down there.

Just to prove refs have it in for us, Sam Wedgbury 12 fouls 6 yellows and Marcus Kelly just 5 fouls, but 3 yellows 1 red! Farcical.

Players shouldn't be being booked every second foul (or practically every foul in Kelly's case). Far too card happy are some of these refs.

Yes , a mass conspiracy. That'll be it.

It's been going on for a few seasons now. 31 red cards in 3 and a bit seasons, despite being one of the cleaner, less cynical sides in the league. Maybe the refs all think like B2TF.

This is Forest Green Rovers we are talking about right?

Absolutely hilarious :lol::lol:

Love it when the facts back up what everyone's been saying for seasons.

P.S. Cards aren't always for quantity of fouls... they're for severity, or does that make things too complicated for you? Because if it could be explained by ALL refs being too card happy, EVERYONE would have as many cards as you.

Edit: Guthrie has also won the most free kicks, so obviously refs can't be that against you!

Yes, but it's more the inconsistencies of some of the officiating that gets highlighted by stats like these.

I know it's a very tough job, but the fact very few have played the game leads to examples like Guthrie, who is constantly getting kicked, pushed in the back etc yet rarely has the offenders punished, whereas he commits a few fouls and ends up with an undeserved suspension this weekend. Experienced ex-players know how to spot all the sly fouling that goes on, and know better when a genuine attempt to win the ball is made. It would be good if some old ex-pros could at least work with less experienced referees to help them spot things that are easier to miss and teach them some of the tricks.

When a team who generally go out to play football the right way end up getting a huge amount of cards, it shows something is clearly wrong.

Would you say you started getting more cards since Pennock took over? Interesting.

More yellows definitely, under Hockaday we tended to get more reds for petulance/frustration, although last year we still got quite a lot of reds. This year we've only had the 2 so far, but a lot of yellows. Pennock is big on discipline, our players are not allowed to give refs any back chat, only our captain is allowed to talk to the ref.

Obviously having had Pulis as a mentor has had an effect on how his teams play, but if anything I would describe it as hard but fair.

You know what, he is a top lad yeah.

I really hope he scores against you tomorrow, oh wait he can't because he's banned. Laughable given the rough treatment he gets, without reacting.

It shocked me to read that we are 17 games since losing by more than a goal, considering how bad we have been.

Was that Bromley?

Some games, Eastleigh, Guiseley etc. Felt as bad as 4-0 hammerings, regardless of the actual score.

And Barrow need shooting practice.

Most shots off target (player and team) and most shots against the woodwork - if only we could finish, because the amount of games we've absolutely dominated and dropped points is unreal! And it shows how vital Cook is for the sheer amount of chances he creates or gets on the end of. I'd suggest that the majority of his shots off target have been headers, and if he can improve that he'd be getting two a game.

I thought we'd be top of the 'shots off target column', we are masters at it!
