To be fair to Killlock it was that one game he played on his debut where he had a stinker, it was his first game in years after injury so maybe not fully fit.
He came on as a late sub the next week and cost us a crucial goal as well.

I haven't liked Hoddle for years, something to do with him stating that people with disabilities are paying for misdemeanours in previous lives...deluded (string of obscenities). I don't want him anywhere near the England job and would much rather not hear his voice on the telly.

We all know the fa love a yes man so expect another boring manager.. I'd love big Sam might not be pretty but takes no shit and does the job! Also loyalties to pathetic footballers such as Henderson and Wilshire would mean nothing to him.

Does "at the end of the day I never said them things" really constitute an apology?

Hoddle said: "I accept I made a serious error of judgement in an interview which caused misunderstanding and pain to a number of people.

"This was never my intention and for this I apologise."

Why would he apologise for saying something that, according to him, he didn't say? Just makes him even more of a moron.

Incidentally, Hoddle was the man who asked his staff to walk around the pitch anti-clockwise during a game against Argentina to create positive energy. A total fruitcake.

Hoddle was in a cult headed by a woman called Eileen Drury.
One would hope he's well and truly been cleansed of all that.

Can any Sutton fans give us any info on Tom Bolarinwa who we have signed on a 3 year deal today.
Very rare we chuck out 3 year deals so i would guess that means a lot of potential and probably a fee involved.

Fenelon was one of the better players we had on loan during Micky Adams' revolving door phase, think we wanted to extend his loan, but couldn't. Not followed his career since, but he looked capable then of carving out a career at FL level. Potentially a decent signing for the Shots.

Shamir Fenelon was on loan with us in our final season in League 2. Quite a good player for us and was always direct, pacy with a goal or 2 in him. To be honest quite surprised to see him drop down to this level.

It's probably because he has 9 goals in 75 games

Has Hoddle signed for someone?

Bit old isn't he? Is it Eastleigh?

Funnily enough, Hoddle was the man who bought our currrent owner to Eastleigh FC and wanted to be the manager once the take over was done. But the money he wanted to be manager was Championship manager wages, so he was told politely, no thanks. He also asked for a very large consultancy fee & to use EFC as his "Hoddle academy", which i understand he also was given a similar negative reply.
The bloke is a grade A twat, completely up his own harris.

Players can still improve significantly at any age with the right coaching. Big Dennis Lawrence was 25 when he came over from Trinidad to sign for Wrexham. An instant cult hero because he was 9 1/2 feet tall, but he was all over the place at the back when he started. Then Denis Smith improved him immensely and he ended up playing in a world cup.

Sam Russell has signed for FGR again. Competition for Maxted I guess.
Not completely convinced by his record compared to Arnold and Maxted, who both have a better clean sheet record.
But I guess our defence was much improved this season compared to previous years (despite so many chances coming down Jennings wing), so that probably contributes.
But of the highlights I saw at Gateshead, he didn't look like he had the best of season there, pretty much gifted Styche a hat-trick (and transfer to Gateshead) with his display against Macclesfield.
Perhaps the statistic that stands out is that only I think Jake Cole at Woking had to make more saves than Russell at Gateshead, which perhaps shows the quality of the defences in front of them.
Our fans seem to like him a lot. Never met him myself, so cant really comment on whether he's a "top bloke".

Possibly the worst kept secret around these parts, news that he was returning seems to have broken several days ago, when he was seen in the local area...apparently here for a wedding, or something like that. He will be warmly welcomed by many on his return, he was always popular with the fans, good for Jonny Maxted to get some decent competition for the number one spot.
