He's also paying way over the odds for fairly ordinary players.

Big time. Forget your Crawley's, Forest Green's, etc. This guy is proper going for it. Keeps bragging about their 25k (so far) a week wage bill. I know we're paying handsomely, but that's even much more than us.

Dover have signed striker Kane Richards from Chester.

Losing Miller, Lafayette, Emmanuel, Modeste and replacing them with Kane Richards and Jamie Allen?

Decent enough young players but it's all looking a bit lightweight down Dover way.

that's an insane figure for weekly wages

From what I've read, Woking have held their own in the Conference on a budget not much above that

Yeah but that's Woking's yearly budget not weekly.

Woking's yearly budget, according to the NLP yesterday, had been about £300k. Similar to ours. That Bill or Ricky one would equate to £1m/year, and that's if they're only paying for a 40-week season, rather than year-round as you would for full-time laikers.

I'd hazard a guess and say Woking's budget is nowhere near that. Most of the club's in this league will have a smaller budget I reckon.

I assumed Richards would take a step back down to the Conference North to be honest. He certainly has potential but needs to get his head right, he’s more interested in picking fights and spitting his dummy out if he doesn’t get his own way. Think we just grew tired of it.

We've signed Bohan Dixon from Fylde or somesuchwhere, apparently he wanted to play for a REAL football club again. :bdick:
he must have improved considerably since we had him on trial 2 seasons ago.

I'm not disappointed he's gone. Wasn't offered a new deal anyway. Wasn't a fan of his. You look at him and think he should be good. But same sadly he lacks just ability

Came to us 2 and a half years ago from the Evo Stik league with potential, but never really actualized it. Occasionally failed to turn up for games, including our 1-0 win at Lincoln in 2015/16 and when the fans had a go at him he skulked off and got in his high performance car. Played regularly this year but would rather go own looking for a penalty than try to score. Thinks he's better than he is. Good luck to Dover, but now where near good enough.

All Wrexham need to do now is beat some Football League U21 sides in pre-season and they've won this league.

Decent spine being assembled at Wrexham. Good start to their transfer dealings.

Craig Reid, formerly of Lincoln and Kidderminster among others has dropped to Step 5 and signed for Coventry United of the Midland Football League, a protest club against SISU and Coventry City

What the hell is going on?

Are we GOING FOR IT?
Top fella is Wedge. Runs himself into the ground. Not the most refined footballer but has enough quality and will never let you down. Also great off the pitch with fans and always one of the first to volunteer for school visits, etc..
Was sad to see him leave, but top end Conference is probably his level.

Good to know we've signed one of the FGR Top Lads, was about time we had one.

Keates going for the coveted FGR/Grimsby MISH MASH.
