We've signed young Bournemouth striker Josh O'Hanlon on loan, initially for a month.

Also, our crowdfunder ended today where the target was £20k, eventually raised £25,500 which is a nice little boost to the coffers.

Terry Hawkridge on loan til January.
Pleased with that.

Was disappointed we didn't have a sniff when he left Trinity, although he will have probably ended up going to Scunthorpe anyway. Helps address 3 issues as well i.e. lack of width, lack of pace and a 'ball carrier'.

Whilst it's good they've been addressed, it obviously not too helpful that one player addresses all of these!

That was Simeon Jackson.

Ha if he had somehow ended up back in the conference he would have dicked on the lot of you. Again. 20 goals by January was his record in the season he got sold. Looking him up he appears to still be unattached, but that can't last surely.

He killed a guy!

Shouldn't he be at FGR? (Last season's joke)

Interestingly just below the linked story is an article about Lee Hughes signing for Worcester. Hope he does well there.

And only 2 of this seasons squad are ex-cons, and both were only for assault and gbh, not killing anyone.

That is interesting. Why has he left Ilkeston so soon?

Yes looks like your right about this Jordan Robertson. Cant say i am delighed we have signed someone with such a past but if he bangs the goals in then id give him the benefit. Its not like he is Ched Evans

"Ilkeston FC are disappointed to announce the departure of experienced striker Lee Hughes to Worcester City.

Hughes joined the Robins during pre-season on an understanding that if a higher placed club made an offer for him, the club wouldn’t stand in his way. The chance to play in a higher league and at a club that was so close to home was an offer he felt he couldn’t turn down."

Little scrote but a good player.
Have we signed a keeper yet...

...only joking.

But if Mr Hurst had given Jimmy Mac proper recovery time after viral meningitis (two weeks off, light training then full training probably a month in all) instead of rushing him straight back v Kiddie, we might be only half a dozen points behind Gloucester Rugby Amateurs FC...

All very well for Hurst to say he's back to his best now...

Having seen him play a few times for my team, Bristol Rovers last season, I can confirm he is very good and a much better signing than Blissett, albeit that is not saying much! He is a very quick, direct winger who has a bit of skill to go with it. He can whip a cross in and took our set pieces for a spell last season. He seemed desperate to sign for us and a lot of Rovers fans were disappointed we didn't sign him in the summer to be honest. Darrell Clarke said we couldn't afford him if I remember rightly and then he went and signed for Kiddy which seemed a bit odd!

I can't stand these players who move away from home and suddenly can't hack it.

You owe your club some service, you made that choice so you get on with it. Why should your inability to live away from home cost your club?

:( Oh Kiddy. Good signing for Tranmere at this level, excellent dribbler of the ball although sometimes I felt he lacked defensive ability, as long as the full back is competent that's never really a problem though.

Stop stealing Kiddy players though Tranmere, they can't go down!

Is this re: Dawson? I can't see that being a problem, I know he's northern but he's been in the Midlands for a few years now at least!

Nobody on our forum believes he's left because of personal issues, apparently at the Braintree game he was seen getting into an argument with the management over something so people are believing he's been forced out it is still a possibility t's because of personal issues but after the past few years it's hard to believe anything that the club says.

Pleased with this Dawson signing. Putting aside Tranmere's deficiencies in the Kidderminster game, Dawson was head and shoulders better than anyone else in an other wise very poor Kiddy team.

Hah, what luck, Dawson signs the day before he plays against the team he's probably ever had the most joy against.

Altrincham's Anthony Griffith has retired from football due to injury.

He had 5 minutes on the pitch all season (all his Altrincham career in fact), and they weren't so productive.
