I'm gutted Knights has left. He's been a bit part player for us this season but I still felt he had a part to play. He started last season on fire and people were starting to suggest that it wouldn't be long before he would move on, but then he got injured against Oadby in the Fa Cup and has never been the same player since. Still has potential to rip up the conference north.
Will always be remembered for my favourite Moors goal away at Fylde last December.

Can't remember whether it was on this thread I asked the question, but it turns out that York have used 60 players since 1st January and only named an unchanged line-up twice!

When you sign the best winger in the league on a permanent deal

Ben Tollitt signs from Portsmouth for an undisclosed fee.

2 and a half year deal, i was expecting Portsmouth to recall and never see him again to be honest so to get him permanently is a great bit of business.

So that's the best winger to go alongside the best midfielder. No doubt alongside the best forwards and best defenders. Shall we just hand you the trophy now and save all the heartache for the rest of us?

I reckon we have used not far off 60 since 1st Jan 2016. I think we're up to 36 for this season alone.

We do have on paper the best team, but that doesn't guarantee anything. We saw in 2004 how when we had an outrageously good league one team we still finished behind Luton and Hull. I'd like to think signing players of this calibre on a permanent basis is the start of an upward curve though.

7 assists 3 goals in 10 appearances (some off bench).

Nathan Arnold?

How is he getting on?

Great footballer and also a genuine guy!

A hero at Grimsby now and moving to Lincoln did nothing to change that!

Hope he gets you back in the league, need that derby fixture again

Can't stand Arnold, always does too well against us. Even for fucking Alfreton.

That moment when he rounded Steve Arnold at Wembley to kill us off was one of the most gut wrenching moments I've ever had in football. Twat.

Doing really well. A bit surprised another FL Club didn't take him on after he left you.

Got 8 or so for the season from the left wing and is a really intelligent player. Most impressive part is his defensive work. I don't think I've ever come across a proper, quality winger who is so good at tracking back and doing his defensive duties. Even if he's not having a great game going forward, he'll always do his bit.

Death, taxes and Nathan Arnold tracking back.

We tried to sign him in the summer, along with Raggett and then later Whitehouse.

They all turned us down to sign for Lincoln. And yet their fans still claim they aren't spending more then us.

I'm really excited about this signing. he's one of the few players I could still see in the squad after a couple of promotions.

He's young and he's not the finished article, and I'm certainly not knowledgeable enough to declare him the best winger in the league, but it's promising nonetheless. He'll create and score plenty of goals this season.

That's what 2 years under Paul Hurst does to a man.

I heard we offered Arnold, Raggett and Whitehouse £10,000 a week more than you, so you must be right.

When will people realise/accept that we have cut our budget, and are no longer one of the biggest spenders. Signing mainly cheaper younger players from lower divisions and missing out on bigger name targets to the likes of Lincoln, Tranmere and Eastleigh makes it quite obvious we're not the moneybags everyone seems to think, surely?

Raggett chose Barrow over you, then us over Barrow.

Surprised Portsmouth have let Tollit go. A very positive signing for Tranmere Rovers.

More proof we're not spending big anymore.

Why else would someone choose Barrow over us?

He does have a point. That's like choosing an old run down ford transit instead of a BMW x5

We don't pay much in basic wages BUT we are rewarding the players with a very good bonus scheme according to the chairman.
Says it's costing him a fair bit just now but the increase in crowds and the cup run are more than paying for it.
Apparently he said Raggett more than we wanted too.

Apparently we've resigned Mark coopers son Charlie on loan from Birmingham, didn't play in his last loan spell here last season so hopefully it works out if he has joined.
